Name some american and british channels!

hi friends..
My dad watches all news channels.. but he is not able to distinguish between the American and British English. Neither am i able to do it!!
Could you please help me by naming some American And British channels.
Particularly hep me to know about these channels,
BBC,God,etc...

BBC is the only british channel I know.
CNN, Foxnews, CNBC, MSNBC, CSPAN are all american television channels.
