What's the deal with the links?

When I signed up I read in the rules that links in discussions are not allowed strictly for money making purposes. Not only do I see links there are "discussions" that have no content at all and basically just a link. I have refrained from posting any links in my discussions and put it where the mylot recommends putting our sites in my profile. Is this rules not enforced and it is ok to post links?

It's nice to know that you at least read the rules when you signed up! And I want to be the first to welcome you to mylot. As much as I love this site you will see a lot of the rules being broken but I do believe that mylot admin eventually takes care it by deleting the discussion and sometimes even banning the member. The best place to put any links is on your profile page. Those discussions you see will eventually get deleted and so will your response if you give one. Again...welcome to mylot and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
