anyone had any poetry published?

I've had a few poems published, though not for pay. I did it through my college's annual arts magazine. They allowed you to submit up to six pieces (prose, poetry or visual art). I usually submitted 4 poems, and got 2 published each time. If you're in college, I'd suggest starting there. My friend has gotten several poems published in a poetry zine she subscribes to, so you could also look around for those. We've both also made our own small books of poems and given them to people who were interested. Good luck!

i have had poetry published in the past but most of these times it was for free..poetry writing is a hard business to get paid for. i would do some research. there is a poetry market guide (check your local library) or do some research on the net.

I have had a couple of poems published in a local newspaper. I just emailed them and asked if they accepted freelance work and they said yes, so I sent the poems and they published them! They didn't pay though, but at least they were published!
