I use avast,Mcafee, zone alarm, kaspersky, now nod32.I have a lots of experience over these anti virus.I had used internet for 2 years. And I have to face so many problem due to several critical problem of this anti virus engine.I explain some of my experience. What I feel that The avast has a better feature that it can scan the OS at first time in safe mood. The zone alarm is so ,not good not bad.But I strongly recommend to myself to use kaspersky. If you have license valid key then It would be better for you.If not then use NoD32.You will be safe with it.

Did you have problems using Avast? I've been using it for about five years now and have never had a single incident. It's fully automated, it updates constantly and it's free. I understand the concept of, "you get what you pay for" but I also understand that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you visit a lot of sites that unleash adware, malware or other kinds of viri on your computer, you'll have problems no matter what antivirus you use.

hii friend. You are absolutely right. There are no problem with avast. But satisfaction is a main thing in using an anti virus. It depend man to man.And in that respect I told that.

im currently using avira antivir classic (free) as my anti virus. i was using Active virus shield before (it uses kaspersky engine). it was very good but the license had expired after a year (agreement between kaspersky and AOL ended). The replacement was now from Mcafee and I'm not that comfortable with Mcafee so I scouted around for a new anti-virus that was lightweight (some are resource hogs -- i.e. norton)
i found avira antivir. from the results of an independent tester, its results for avira were superb (http://www.av-comparatives.org/). and after comparing the free and paid versions, the free version was enough for my needs so i decided to try it
however, in about more than 7 years of using the internet i had used Norton,Mcafee, avast, avg, trend micro, kaspersky (AVS), bit defender, and panda as my anti viruses. panda and bit defender were very very good but i wasn't able to renew my license after one year

yah Norton is good for pc but it slow down the system because its highly scan system.I use nod32.And its less memory consumer than Norton.
