Have you ever requested someone to be your friend and they dont deny or approve you? The request is just sitting there. Does it annoy you? How do you deal with it? Do you just delete your request or wait it out? What do you do when someone requests you as a friend? Do you deal with the request right away?

i get refused all the time! no big deal, but i keep it there and hope that the other person does not delete it. the reason for that is so that i do not embaress myself by requesting them again!! i always accept all friends requests. it is nice to be nice and it costs nothing!

Hi Kio,
Sadly, too many clowns are on here creating drama at every turn, and since you really dont know who they are, I do not take requests and I dont send them. I hate to discriminate but if you dont have more than 500 posts, Im not really interested. Seems that way too many under 500 posts, you excluded ;), are full of it and allowing them to be on your friends list is just asking for it.
Its so sad that a few people who cant find anything better to do with themselves has ruined it for hundreds of thousands of people who truly want to discuss and debate.

Yeah I know what you mean. Well you know sometimes I dont notice that I have a request really. Now if I got an email alert telling me I have one then I would be quicker to respond to it. So for me, and maybe some others, its just not noticed right away.

I use to accept everyone and now I have loads of friends on my list that are inactive. Now i am choosie on who to add as a friend. I don't go looking for friends as I don't have time to.

Hi kiobug! I have pending requests before but have deleted them already because it was almost three months since I made those requests. I was quite disappointed but I guess they have their reasons, nothing personal I hope. With those requests I got from other mylotters, I do approved the requests as soon as I logged in mylot and see the requests. However there are times that I don't log in for weeks and days, so the approval is somehow delayed and my apologies for that. Take care and have a nice day.

Oh no, that doesn't happened to me yet. I guess I would feel weirded out too. Or maybe, it's just that the user just hasn't logged in yet? Could that be? I have never rejected a friend request before. I would always welcome a friend request, the more the merrier, in my list. I think the only reason I would deny a friend request would be by the sole purpose of spamming and the likes.

Sure. I still have some pending requests and I don't think they will accept me to be their friends anyway. Frankly, I don't know why. I always hope to have more and more friends in Mylot. It's better to each other. I alway accept others' friend requests. It is my honored. I feel that you are the same one like me. So I would like to add you as my friend:)

How fun! I never think about this problem. And I approved all requests. I hope to make a lot of friends here. And II don't want others disappointed. But after approval, I seldom contact with them actively. Meanwhile, I haven't requested but waiting.

It has happend with me on many occasions, in my early days here at mylot. When I used to send a request, sometimes that was neither accepted or rejected. After waiting for 4-5 days I used to delete that myself. I started a discussion on the same issue...'do you keep the request pending'. I feel it is better to reject my request...then to keep it pending. But now if I send a request for adding me as a friend, most of the time it is accepted.

Actually it is funny you should ask this question of myLotters because this seems to happen in many of these forums. But I think about why an approval or denail should be made based on two things: To accept, I would had to have a few discussions, responses, messages back and fourth at topic sites between me and this person asking for a friendship connection to be made; for Denial it is pretty simple: I have never heard from you in either discussions I started, seen any you made (new discussions), have o friends as you are requesting to be my friend, have no decency in placing a valid identification name, age, location and gender (that is whether you are boy or girl) and only want to sell me something in some fashion. Those last two are definite denial markers cause professional networking does not tolerate 'well I am hidden' you can't find me kind of attitude.
Get my drift? and great discussion ! so far . . .

I just wait it out. You have to consider that some users don't regulary logs in to whatever forum or friendster-like website you are into. If they deny, I wont get upset because it's their right to choose their friends. It's not a biggie for me, should i say.
