Hi all! I just noticed that my star is down to a 7. It started at a 10, dropped to a 9, and is now at 7. I am not sure why it has dropped or what I could have done wrong. Any ideas as to what has caused it to drop and how can I achieve a 10 again?

Actually problem is same with me
As their is no rule regarding the rate increase or decrease!
As me too was having 7 th rank or even 8th rank but suddenly it came to 2nd rank
Then i have heard that if some one will rate you "+"
situated below the post your rate will increae!
Then i have requested many freinds of mine to rate but no changes! till now!
So i have just left thinking about the rank!

Actually only 1 rate will not effect your ratng!
Say if someone will rate you and by this if many people rate you and whn it reaches 100 (say)
then might be your rate will increase by 1 rank
What i feel this may be true!

Well, I just rated your post with a + and I hope it helps. I see that now your star is showing as a 4 so I guess mine could come back up after all of this. I guess that rating isn't a big effect on anything so I guess I won't worry about it.

I was a 9, until I decided not to add a real jerk to my friend's list. Then this started happeneing once they and their buddies or their other mylot accounts got busy and started negatively rating everything I've ever done. So, if you've made anyone mad, they could be yanking your chain.

I don't know of what I would have done to make someone mad. I always accept friends and I always give a best response to my discussions and I always try to rate people positively.

Hello carol, I also used to have 10 but now I only got nine.
I believe that most of the reasons why our ratings drop is because a post that we made (started/replied) might have been deleted, which also affects the amount of post we make by dropping.
I sugggest that you follow the guidelines and posts accordingly to what it says, avoid posting low QUALITY discussions because they will not help you in any way as it may cause you another deletion.
Here are some links about this matter, I hope you take time to read and understand them:

I have read the guidelines and I rarely ever start discussions that I don't feel are a good quality discussion. We are here to talk with each other and have fun. I might have had something that I replied to deleted but I have never had a discussion deleted.
I almost always respond with more than three lines usually more than 4 so I try my best to do all that I am expected to on here.

I think it happens when people rate your discussions negatively, carolscash. It happened to me before and my star dropped back to a 9. I just didn't worry about is because most everyone says that they are not that important. I don't think people should use the rating system in this way, but people will do what they will.

Thanks worldwise. I am not really worried about it. I just figured that someone might be able to give me a clue as to why it dropped so much. I don't like it but I will just keep doing what I can do on here and enjoy the time that I am here as I love this site.

yes noticed this as well . It depends on how ppl rate your comments. You may have said somethign that offended someone? Look at my rating it's pretty bad but i knowI made a couple posts that I just was real with and I may have offended someone. SO be it. I don't care what ppl think honestly. Giving someone a negative rating when they clearly don't deserve one is wrong.

I agree with you on speaking what you believe. I don't think anyone should be given a negative rating just because you don't agree with what they say.I would only give a negative rating if they said something wrong to me.
