I have been receiving an average of about 4 per week, pyewacket. I don't understand how these people can continue to operate when they have so many laws against this type of thing. I had tried reporting them at one time, but there are just too many to be bothered, so I am deleting them also.

man you guys sure get a LOT of spam emails. I have a great spam blocker and very seldom does a piece of email along these lines slip by it. I hate getting things like this. I for one do not open ANY email that I do not know whom or where it came from. Better safe than sorry. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have the same things happening, pyewacket. I get all of this junk in my inbox, and then when I check the junk folder (at times), I find something I really want, caught in there. You're fortunate regarding this, Grandpa Bob! I too have a good 'spam blocker,' but this still happens. I was told by someone very computer savvy, that this is because I have to 'allow' certain things, in order to use my e-mail that I love. I don't like the e-mail that comes with my provider, so have to put up with this. Oh well, I'll just 'keep deleting, and smiling.':)

Hi pyewacket, Like you, I get so many of these! I'm not sure if I've received this particular one, but they come 'daily' from Africa, UK, Netherlands etc. They range from ones asking me to be a business partner, to my being the heir to a vast fortune, from an unknown relative, and oh, I must not forget the ones where I've won a lottery. They come into 'both' my inbox, and my junk mail. I'm so fed up with deleting them, but (of course) that's what I do. Like you've stated, if only (even one) could be real, my financial stress would be over, etc. etc. I sincerely hope, that there aren't naive people out there 'actually' falling for this. All they'd have to do is to give out their banking info., and look out! One of them one time, wanted my street address, and private phone number. I 'shudder' to think what they wanted. Who are these people? I'm sorry for the rant here, but enough is enough from them, and I wish they could be stopped. They deserve to be prosecuted. Take Care.

Guess what? I get the ones for 'male enhancers' as well. So ridiculous, and annoying at the same time. Those inheritance etc. ones, must think 'everyone' is sooooooo stupid! I've been entering a 'legitimate' Reader's Digest draw for $5,000.00, every day for months, and can't manage to win this ... sigh. But I shouldn't bother with this 'real one' anymore, because I'm already so rich, and just need to pick my new business partner etc.;) Oh well, I guess we can look at these as 'our laugh' for the day, in some cases.:)

I don't know if I have gotten that exact one or not, but I've gotten alot similar. They're coming rom all over the place, now. I've been getting alot from the UK, as well Nigeria, and places. If I had the money that I've been winning on all these lotteries, shucks, I'm winning at least 10 different ones, everyday. I'd be alot richer than Bill Gates. I'd be able to buy him out, almost daily. lol Too bad it's not real. I could use some money. lol

Hi hun, you are not alone. I have had loads of the Nigerian scam emails and a fair few from China too. I had a couple from Eastern European countries too, and I wonder why they think people are going to fall for these scams. They drive me nuts, to be honest, and despite all my care, I still get these wretched things. My delete button is getting quite worn out.

I receive a lot of email like that one,and the only difference is the country of origin. The email i receive comes from the U.K. and Nigeria.I always hit the spam button so that they will never be allowed to my inbox or bulk folder. The problem is another one will go to my inbox with a different name and the same modus operandi. My email address is yahoo.com and i think yahoo is not making the right precautions.

I have no clue if this email came thru to me cause yahoo is pretty good at sending this crap to my bulk folder which I usually just empty w/o opening. Any that make it to my inbox gets marked spam w/o opening as well.

Hi Pye,...you know, I've received so many of these I can't count them anymore. It's really disgusting. I have my resume on a few job boards and ever since then that's all I receive are these junk, crappy, pi$$ me off scams from everywhere!.....And they all basically want the same thing......me to have something to do with collecting their money....it makes me sick. I removed my resume from all the sites and they're still coming. I just posted a new discussion about all these scams too, and a website that you can get information about them. Grrr these idiots make me mad!

Nope, haven't gotten that one yet, but haven't checked email in two days. Yes, the words change but the song remains the same. "We are a reputable company that cannot seem to accept money through legit channels. Please launder this money for us." Oh, please, most of the laarger banks, as well as Western Union have branches in China today. I had no problem whatsoever purchasing an item for my aunt's birthday using a check sent to a real Chinese company. This is not the 60s, China is open to international trade. And besides, comsidering the product they claim to be selling, most of their clients should be companies, not individuals, who would not be sending personal checks in payment. When was the last time YOU purchased $100 worth of sheet metal? These people depend on American greed. And it works, the lure of working at home and making $200 a day makes our brains go offline. Many people fail to use common sense. This one is almost as good as the "I want to give my sister a gift of $500, if you will send it to her anonomously, I will send you $200 for your trouble." Yeah, I got one of those. Right.. I'm gonna give my sister $500 but don't want her to know I gave it to her? And my sister is dumb enough to blithely not question a $500 mystery gift? As if her birthday is common knowledge to people living in another country? Give me a break. Unfortunately, these scams will not stop as long as there are people stupid enough to participate and get taken for their money, or worse, go to jail. Money laundering (and that's what it is) is a federal offense. The company won't be charged, the 'independent contractor' will. Any real company is not going to have ANY representative cash checks and rewrite them to send in. They will have the person send in the order and the buyer's check. Think about it, how can they guarantee any satisfaction at all if they don't have anything with my name on it to prove I bought something.

LOL--uh, yeah, gee, I just got a $100 worth of sheet metal the other day..LOL--Oh I got that email to...about wanting to send a gift to a sister anonymously--it was actually through ebay that I got it...the guy wanted me to send the one item I was selling on ebay, plus $500 through Western Union to somewhere in Russia--again all anonymously...the only one who would have a traceable link with all this would have been me...uh, no thanks...not unless I want to be America's Most Wanted...LOL

I'm pretty sure I got the same thing, I think more than one of them too. Of course, I deleted mine, too. These scams are really ridiculous because you know there are people who fall for this garbage. Some may say you'd have to be stupid to do so but I won't pass that kind of judgment, I'll just say there may be some new to the internet and maybe a bit naive and gullible. It's a darn shame they're able to get our e-mail addresses to send this garbage. Annie

No I haven't gotten this one yet. Sometimes I like to email them back with nasty comments. Thats when I'm in a bad mood, and it helps relieve stress. Other days I think about giving them fake info. Just for the fun of it. because it is annoying getting these emails.

I wrote some rude comments back to one emailer calling them a fake and a liar. I got an email back that was very condescending in religous offerings. I contacted them again saying I was a police officer in the NSW police force of Australia and I haven't had any more scams in that email account since!

I e-mailed a couple of them back, saying something like, "Just how stupid do you think I am?" It gave me 'a bit' of satisfaction. But then, somebody told me 'not' to do this, as they could infect my computer with a virus. I'm not sure if this is true, but I never did this again. The idea of giving them 'bogus information' does sound appealing though. Sometimes I'd just like to 'take them' for what they've done to 'steal' from anyone naive enough to fall for this. I wish something could be done about them. Obviously, this is a 'pet peeve' of mine, as I'm ranting again.

I've gotten a lot of weird scam emails like that one lately, what gives? Like one today that told me I won 2 million pounds and then said that was 30 mil USD and that I didn't have to put an entry in or buy a ticket because everyone on the internet was automatically entered. Right. Oh gee, let me give you my bank info right now so you can suck me dry and give me 30 million imaginary dollars!! If people would put as much brain power and effort into working as they do into scamming, they'd be a whole lot richer, a whole lot quicker.

It's a scam. Most of these people have gotten the money through illegal means and it is common practice to get the funds out from their home country,so that the authorities cannot trace the funds. I know bec Singapore is a safe haven for money laundering and many Indonesians park their funds here and buy properties and get away with that. It is sad but true. Cheers!
