Have any helpful tips on packing? I have fine china to pack, and I hope none of it gets broken! I've started packing some stuff like books and things I won't be using. I have boxes everywhere. So much accumulates over time. So, what's your tips or tricks? Help!

I should follow my own advice. "If you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it." What about wrapping your china in your towels? When we moved last year, that is how we moved a lot of our glass things.
I wish you the best! (((HUGS)))

Hahaha, if you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it!!! ROFLMAO, girl! I found some stuff that I swear isn't even mine! No recollection of it at all! Tooooo funny.
The towel thing is good, but what, pack the fine china last?
Thanks for responding. I so miss you, sweetie.

The secret to packing fine china is lots and lots of bubble wrap... i tried that when i travelled 24 hours... thought i did not bring any china with me... most of my things which are quite fragile survived the travel because of the lots and lots of bubble wrap that i used...
Try it... it might work for you... goodluck...

You know, I never even thought of bubble wrap! What a great idea. I would have to buy some, because I don't have any around here. Thanks for the tip!

Moving is so tiring! I've done it plenty of times though. I try to be as organized as possible. Do not try to put everything heavy into one box. Books should be packed into smaller boxes, as they will be very heavy and the box will tear or the bottom will fall out, or your back will go out. Trust me on this one! Wrap all your breakables very good in paper, newspaper works well if you don't have bubble wrap, put your towels, washcloths to work too. Pack blankets, etc inside your washer, dryer. Label all your boxes, you will not remember what is inside or which room it belongs in. Do the refrigerator last, try to clean as you empty out cupboards. Check and recheck and recheck again, I have gone off and left behind memento's before. Good luck and try to save your back, you will be very sore and tired. Big bonus, see if you can get a lot of people to HELP! Best of luck.

What great advice you have given to me! I would have never thought to put the blankets, etc into the washer or dryer! Great! Check and recheck? Yes, I will follow your advice. Most of the books are already packed, thank goodness, in small to medium sized boxes. I hope that I can get a lot of people to help move. And help unpack!
