What is the difference betwen a good friend and best friend?

Friendship is greatest relation. It is greater than brotherhood or sisterhood. It is greater than parentship. Josef had seven brothers but none of them was his friend. Friend is name of devoted person. we could not rate it with good better and best. Friend is friend and nothing than friend.

A good friend is someone you know you can trust. Who is someone you know you can get along well with. But not enough to trust every single detail in your life. A best friend, from the word itself, is someone who is the best for you as a friend. Someone you know you can trust with your own life, someone who you would never think twice to believe, someone who knows you as much as you know yourself.

for me good friend and best friend are two different things...not that big difference though...good friends are everyone who is treating you as friend too...can talk anything under the sun but cant talk about your closet...that part will be to your best friends! good friends may come and go but best friend, like you said is hard to find and hard to let go...

yea of course there is difference b/w both. simply one can state difference as the best friend is one and good friends are many. also friends are more than good friends.

Hi Mari.. In my opinion, yes it is different. The difference is not separated by a distinct line. The only one who can feel the differences is ourselves. Yes we do all have a lot of good friends, and needed someone or several budy to be our best friends. All is coming back to our mind. But, I regard friend as usual friend, good friend, and best friends. Usual friend is friend just to say 'hi' everytime we meet, no deep communication at all. Good friends are more than that, we can talk much to them, we can also happy being with them, but the trust is still not too high, not verified yet.. don't get surprised if one of your good friend backstab you someday. Best friends are top of all. You can reveal yourself, you do not need to be shy because they understand you so well and accepted you whatever you will be. You can be adviced because of your fault and they never left you behind. You can talk as much as you want, as deep as you want and your information is safe with them. They will never betray you. You will appreciate them very much as gift from God. You can trust they and they will never forget you and keep on touch for a very long time. It verified by time and distance. Too good to be true ? believe me there is relationship like that. Hard to find but really worth it.. ;)
