Merry Christmas: How Do You Say It In Your Language?

I would love to post this on my blog http://www.gtargirls.blogspot.com . So tell me how to say Merry Christmas in your language. My family left Holland many, many and I mean many years ago but I think it goes something like this: Gelukkig Kerstfeest!

As you probably know, in Indonesian it's: Selamat Hari Natal.
In Finnish it's: Hyvää joulua! ;-D

He he he he...yeah, it's a bit tricky indeed hmmm...It's hard for me to explain it in words.
But basically...the "h" is pronounced the same way as in English. The "y" is a close rounded front vowel like in the German word Fuhrer.
The "ä" is pronounced like the "a" in "rat".
The "j" is actually pronounced like a "y" in "young".
So joulua is read similarly to Indonesian: /youlua/

In Filipino, Merry Christmas is Maligayang Pasko. Maligayang means Merry and Pasko means Christmas. Maligayang Pasko gtargirl!!

ok in macedonian merry christmas is "sreken Bozik" sreken meaning happy or merry and bozik is christmas. we also say "hristos se rodi" which is jesus is born and we also say "za mnogu godini" which is for many years or something like that. Hope that helpes.

In the UK they usually say 'Happy Christmas', but I don't know, it just doesn't sound as festive as MERRY Christmas, you know?

Well English is my first language so it's Merry Christmas! However, I'm also Scottish and I believe the way to say Merry Christmas in Scots Gaelic (the traditional language of Scotland) is Nollaig Chridheil. It's just as difficult to say as the Dutch one I think lol!

But remember that family members are also missing you. But we should not forget that we are global villagers and we can wish happy charismas to every one who is far away or close to us. Maligayang Pasko means Merry Christmas.
Merry=Maligaya
Pasko=Christmas
But in our country, we also accept Merry Christmas as our greeting but in our own spelling. Since we use Filipino language, we would spell it this way:
Meri Christmas.
Some english words are often accepted in our language, all we do is we often change its spelling when used as a Filipino language, but some english words are spelled as is.
