My little girl just vomited some black tar like liquid

I would be concerned with a bleeding problem, especially i there was a putrid smell.Black tar, blood, would be old blood but I think it is generally associated with the bowels, where as throwing up from the stomach would be more of a coffee ground appearance. I realize this discussion was posted 3 mos ago. did you get her to the doctor? did she recover well? was there only the one incident? was it something she ate?

I guess it depends on what she has just eaten. If you have concerns, take her to the doctor. What has she eaten and drank in the last hour? Is she having any other symptoms?

If she has been acting fine all day until now it may just be something she ate. I she still vomiting or is she back to normal now? If nothing she ate resembles the vomit and she keeps vomiting I would call the doctor, but it if stops then I would not be too worried.
