In statement given by Condolisa Rice has said'Iran is acting as an obstacle in the way of U.S. plans". They also say building of nuclear weapons is dangerous and they themselves want to build a U.S.linked missile defence system in Europe. What do you think about this?

Big difference between a missle defence system and a nuclear weapon, one IS a nuclear weapon and the other is to DFEFND AGAINST nuclear weapon. If Iran was in the hands of someone who wasn't hellbent on a deep seated hatred of my country and its downfall or at least it's conversion to an islamic republc, the nuclear issue would not be an issue at all. Our concern is that there are elements in the Iranian government that would not hesitate to give this technology to groups like al quieda (even though not shia, still a common ally against the U.S.) who would happily drop them on us.

You say president of iran is hellbent on a deep seated hatred of your country. They are just building nuclear weapons for their own safety. As the americans have already built the nuclear missiles they do not want anyone else to buld one. Dont forget yours is the only country that has used a atomic bomb in a war.

" Dont forget yours is the only country that has used a atomic bomb in a war." we can't the world doesn't let us, so don't worry about that. A lot has happened since then. We didn't know a huge amount about them and never imagined they would become the plauge they are now. No one back then ever imagined there would be hundredsof thousands of these things around the world. The use of the nukes on japan was decided on several factors, first, the loss of millions of japanses and american lives in a converntional invasion of japan (they did attack us remember, we were at war) or end it quickly with slightly fewer deaths. Second, was the plan between germany and japan to combine their technologies and drop FOUR of them on our west coast, this was an actualy plan in the proccess of hapening, as soon as the material got to japan from germany, they would put the bombs together there and deliver them to our west coast by either hot air balloon or kamakazi pilots. this is a historical fact that is often ignored or not known when discussing this issue. I wish more people would research it. A pre emptive nuclear strike was used to prevent a nuclear strike on us and again, this is a historical fact. Yes, it's true, we don't want nations like Iran having these things, we understand the need for a nation to defend itself but don't we have enough of these things in the world? do we really want them trickling down from nations to radical groups? I notice you are from india, would you want kashmiri rebel groups to get such a weapon? What if there was a country extremely sympathetic to the kashmir cause and they decided that to help them out, they passed this technology along to them? would you not want to keep such a nation from developing the ability to do this? Certainly this is an issue you can identify with. Iran has been a problem for decades now and I blame that idiot, Jimmy Carter, for supporting the sha and then doing nothing when the islamic revolution took over and transformed Iran in to our enemy. Right at that moment, there should have been a full scale invasion to at least rescue our hostages, not that joke of a mission we tried and failed miserably at, Carter made us a laughing stock. I'm getting tired of the myths floating around about us, I can't believe that the world is really this gullable. Our problems have nothing to do with sticking our noses in the worlds business but that there is an ideology out there that is deterrmained to see an end to my way of life. Al quieada and other jihadists feel that democracy is "un slamic" and needs to be eliminated, EVERYWHERE, not "sticking your noses in" only means that they will come for you later rather than sooner, when there are less to help you, it does not mean they wont eventualy come for you, we apparently learned nothing from world war two.
