A blood-red scene in the morning yesterday...

Yesterday, as I was already up in the morning, doing research on my bedroom computer, my black and white striped kitten (I still haven't decided on a name for it), started becoming playful to the point of seeing my toe move and started nibbling it. It felt ticklish though having my feet nibbled under the blanket by my kitten.
As I turned around to see him, I noticed that something was bizarre outside. It looked blood red early in the morning. When I put on my pants and went outside, get this...the sky, the neighborhood, everywhere I see except for the still-bright pole lights, it was ALL blood red. It's a good thing I captured it with my digital camera before the outside went back to its normal color.
Now what was the deal with that strange hue of an environment outside? Did anyone experience a single-color day when you got out to go to work or something?

hello, Duomaxwell. It is interesting! It is something unsual in the sky sometimes, such as the color turns and a ring arround the sun or the moon, it usually make people excited! A good way to record it is taking photos as what you do. It is the beauty presented by the nature to us. And what i want to say is that you've got a clever kitten, and maybe you spent all your morning time researched on your computer boredly without the kitten, and you would have missed the supernatural screen. The kitten is really clever and cute so maybe you can call him eidolon or genius, hehe~~~~

That's really creepy sounding isn't it? Something you would hear about in a science fiction movie. Did you find out what was causing the red?
