A few miles west of Inverness, this mysterious but beautiful lake has become one of the world's most famous attractions.
At 230 metres deep and 37 kilometres long, it's the home of the Loch Ness Monster, Nessie.
The first recorded sighting of a creature in the Loch was in 565 A.D. by Saint Columba, an Irish priest. Mr Hugh Gray, a tourist, took the first photos of the monster on 12th November, 1993.
Do you belive there is a monster in the Loch? Why not visit Loch Ness and look for the monster yourself? And while you're there, visit the Loch Ness Monster Exhibition Centre.

I would like to see Loch Ness. I have read a lot of things about it but never been anywhere near there. I am going to travel to Japan next spring and I hope to do more traveling after that.
I wonder if there is anything really in that water or if it is all just part of someones' imagination.

Yes a nice place to visit and enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the lake. But about the existence of the monster, I don't think so because I've seen it in National Geographic Channel aired by ASTRO where the park management appointed one paid event management company to create this situation around to attract the tourists.
The group consists of 5 expertise in mechanical engineering and they imitate the monster movement under water. You can watch it in ASTRO channel.

Wow I had no idea that sitings of the loch ness monster went back so far in history. I dont know if its true or not. I tend to not believe in anything that I havent seen that hasnt been proved by scientists to be real. My son and I rented a movie from the library a few days ago about the loch ness monster it was really neat. It was called The Water Horse. It was a great family movie. I didnt realize that the loch ness monster was named because he was supposedly in the loch ness. I saw in the movie how beautiful the loch ness was it would be hard to believe that a huge creature like that could live in such a pretty place.

Don't tempt me. It's on my List. I have a Life List of things I want to do and see before I die and Loch Ness is on there. I figure it'll tie in with visiting the UK because Stonehenge and the Tower of London are on the List, too. Call it a supernatural tour of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.
