Blood donation

whenever i visit any hospital or blood bank i always find there is scarcity of negative blood groups.what is the reason for that?because i am A-ve blood group and i donate once in every three months.

Yes there is a scarcity of negative blood groups. My mother was a negative, quite rare blood group, she gave blood from time to time. I would love to give blood here in Australia, but because I have lived in England between certain years I cannot give blood. I presume this is because of the outbreak of mad cow's disease in those particular years. Surely they could screen us for this, as I know I have never had it, maybe the Australian's are just being very cautious, as they are with many things. I cannot blame them for that.

its true that persons with negative blood groups are less that's why there is scarcity there are only few person per 100 with -ve blood groups and the O -ve exists in 1/100000 person so u can understand the problem
