I was wondering if anyone participates in one or more of the online book trading sites. If so can you recommend one that is easy to use? I keep thinking about signing up for one but don't know which is the best.

I'm a member of paperbackswap.com. I've used it for about a year, and really like it. I've saved a huge amount of money, and have received only one book that was in poor condition. The site has a lot of features, including forums and a wish list. When a book on your wishlist comes in, they notify you. I also tried bookmooch.com, but could hardly ever find any books I wanted. The site is also not particularly user-friendly.

Thank you that is is exactly the kind of information I was looking for. I'll take a look at paperbackswap.com. and avoid the other one.

I also found bookcrossing.com . It is a fun site that allows you to release books into the world anywhere you like, find books other in your area have released, and keep a catalog of any books you own as well. I recommend it.
