Thing that I can't leave without it

For my outing, I can not leave behind my NRIC (National Identity Resident Card) as in my country, Malaysia, if I get caught by police and I can not produce my NRIC to the police officer, I will be arrested to the police station for my statement taking and a mandatory fine for MYR300($86USD).
So I need third party to help me bring back my NRIC to the police station for a release but I still have to pay the mandatory fine.
If I could not produce my prove for my NRIC and could not settle the bill, so I have to stay in the lock-up at that police station until settlement being made.
How about you and your country's law on NRIC?

If that so and the fine was clear in your mind and knowledgeable, better take thing seriously. Make sure your carelessness will make extra burden to your family.
Small thing but valuable for your identification need in your own country. Do not not make it as your habitual careless. Be sure not to leave behind once your are for your outing.
