Our first frost!!

United States

The weather is changing in my neck of the world. The weather for tomorrow morning is predicting our first frost. The temperature will be dropping to 30 degrees. This will be the first time this fall that it falls that low. Are you ready for a cool fall that will lead into a cold winter? Where I live, we rarely get a lot of snow, but the temperatures will be cold. I live in Washington state, in the center of the state, where it is mostly desert. So are you ready for the change of weather?

Hi cajun, You have a lot of humidity down there. Your winters are very cold and wet. Here it is a dry cold. It still gets cold when we get an artic front. Our nights are cooler than day time too. Have a good winter!!

I am from Minnesota and they are forecasting the second snowfall for the northern part of the state. I love the winter so I am more then ready to be shut up like a bear in hibernation!

Jillhill, It's a good thing you like snow and like to hibernate. It makes it easier to survive the winter when you can enjoy it.

I really thought I was. However, the chilly weather has just made my arthritis and fibromyalgia go crazy. Just stepping out to walk my dog is enough to send me to the heating pad. But I am thankful for the cooler weather because it lowers my electricity bill, and our summer got into the 100 degrees, and that was awful.

Hopefully it won't be too cold this winter for you. The dogs still need to be walked, and it is good for you to get out as well. Best of luck with your health too..

Hi crazy-ol-lady.We had our first frost 2 weeks ago and it killed my flowers big time.Right now outside its very cold, its 37F(3c) and its only 12:00 am,so its going to be colder alot more later this morning. My vans full of frost, the roof and the grass.I have a very hard time to get use to the changing cold weather, but my daughter has even a harder time than me.She still want to wear shorts and go outside barefoot, like today.!Yikes! We cannot seem to get her to understand that summers over and the snows a coming.Im like a bear,i would love to hibernate and wake up and spring is here and the hot weathers around the corner, haha.Wishfull thinking eh? Peanutjar:)

Hi Peanut, Little ones don't understand the weather yet. They just know what they feel comfortable in. The snow is so pretty, take her out and show her how to make snow angels this winter. She'll have fun. Be sure to dress warm and enjoy!!
