lost one of our babies

Today when I was getting clothes out of my closet I noticed that one of your kitties was tucked away in the corner of the box they are in.. when I pulled it out I realised she was dead.. she was on of two runts in the litter and I had been feeding her but i guess not enough.. its vert sad .. she was the cutest of the bunch and the one i was considering keeping.. don't get me wrong I would be sad if any of them died.. now I am worried about the other runt though.. we just moved and the Mom is pretty hit and miss about looking after them.. I have been trying to supplement them with an eye dropper as much as I can but I guess it wasn't enough.. anyway just wanted to share my sad news.. now I have to figure out what I am going to do with the one that has died.. sometimes having animals is very difficult..

I remember tryingto save a little runt puppy once. She was the sweetest and tiniest little thing. We did our best but knew she was fading. We were actally wathing her when her breathing stopped. It was so hard.
I hope your other ones make it!

Don't blame yourself. Maybe you did feed it enough however, being the runt of the litter, it could have had other health issues.

Thank you both for your responses.. so sad to lose any animal.. I am a veteran though as I have taken in so many strays over the years as well as worked in Vets,kennels and spca's but it hits so much harder when it is one of you own.. thanks again.. and you maybe right on the health issues they all seem to me to be less then healthy but I just cannot afford the vet fee's .. So I will do my best and hope the rest survive..
