Good news: Mom called me today and invited us out for dinner

She sounded excited and tried convincing me to put our dinner away for tomorrow and let her take us out to a restaurant. Instead I offered to pick her up so she can eat with us. Finally we agreed to go out to one of our favorite restaurants tomorrow night instead. Hubby and I went and bought her some Laura Secord chocolates (mom loves chocolate), a birthday card (nice, sentimental but not too mushy) and tomorrow we're picking up a birthday cake for her. Of course hubby and I are paying for dinner as well. I'm not so mean that I would make her pay for her own celebration meal. So it's good news huh? I'll be on my best behaviour.
