What is your style statement?

We all have different perception about style. I would like to believe in 'keeping it simple, comfortable and unpretentious'. And this is generally speaking in terms of daily wears.
What about your fashion? Do you go with the trend or make your own style?
How do others rate you on 10? How do you rate yourself on of 10?

I do go with the fashion ofcourse, but I only buy clothes that I am comfortable in.. I go for all the bright colours, I like to stand out in the crowd.. Sometimes, I even make my own style like teaming a formal shirt with jeans and a bandana on my head.. That looks really cool.. I also like to accessorise myself to a bit.. I don't know how others rate me, but I think I can rate myself 7 on 10...

I quite like bandana, specially when I am outdoor, it helps in keeping off from a bad hair day.
Thanks.

I bet, you are well dressed with a great attitude to carry your formal attire. You look like an emperor in his palace (in the snap posted in your profile) - great attitude and very dependable indeed.

oh style is such a personal matter, just like beauty I think. As far as myself is concerned, I love fashion and shopping..I like also window shopping because I like looking at the latest releases in order to build up new ideas..I am rather a creative person and I like matching differest styles and pieces coming from different brands. I like fashion, but I am my own fashion. I mean I choose clothes and accessories depending on my tastes and on what fits me and not on what they are dictating at the moment. And what a joy finding the right shoes for a particular dress and the bags and the scarves and so on..it is a sort of treasure hunt and everyday it is the same..I pick the clothes up depending on the weather, on my mood, on the things I am expected to do during the day and so on..and each day I prepare something different for myself..guess it is just like when playing with dolls...we can create so many combinations!!!!!

Your post is so alluring that I feel like go shopping now! Yes, it's like mix and match and a search for the best. This is purely a girly thing and I think we all do it more or less. It's such a fun to discover new fashion stuff and experimenting to suit your attitude and stature.
Happy shopping.

I used to chase style when I was young, but now. I don't go with the trend now, but make my own style. I am not fashionable, but I think that I can rate myself 7 because I can always match properly the garments I wear.

I am sure with a few more snaps to view, your rating will go up. It's not as much about extravagance as about simplicity and the way you match it with your attitude. You have it right , william.

I usually also keep it simple and comfortable. I love wearing jeans because they're simple and comfy and you can dress them up or down. Sometimes, I feel like wearing one piece that stands out. Just one -- usually it's my top, or a nice big bag, or weird-colored shoes. I don't like going overboard on trends or mismatching things. I would never wear stripes with polka dots. But I do like color-coordinating my outfits. Basically I just do my own thing; I'm not really a follower of trends but I do observe what's out there -- if I think it might work for me, then I'll try it. But if I know I'll look ridiculous wearing such a trend, then I won't go with the flow.

w0ow!! you are so like me. I haven't been with polkas ot stripes or gloss. I watch the trend but have mine own. Even without seeing you I am sure that you are stylish in your own right.

That was a complete answer. I do agree that a lot depends on the mood of the day - that actually decides on how we carry it off.
Thanks.

Wow, thank you. I also forgot to answer your question on how others rate me or how I rate myself on a scale of 1 to 10. I guess I'd probably range from 5 to 9, depending on what I wear on a particular day because sometimes I'm in no mood to dress up while other times I want to look good by dressing up well.
It's nice to know there's someone who has the same mindset when it comes to style :)

daily fashion? well, if it's during the weekdays, i will prefer to wear office wear, something that will be presentable yet simple and comfortable. During weekends, i will prefer to go for very casual wear jeans and top...Whatever it is, being comfortable is the utmost importance for me.

I am not sure how others rate my style. I guess it would be around 5/10. If I dress up to go out, it may rise to 7/10.
I am very casual, & not fully into the latest styles.
I live in those 3/4 pants & shirts in summer. I never wear a dress or skirt. In winter I only wear jeans & jumpers.
I think if I could afford to buy more stylish clothes, I would be tempted to do so.

Jenny, you are casula, comfy and sweet. I quite like your way of dressing, will have to admit that I am more like you. Nothing like slipping in comfortable clothes and rushing for work. If you allow me, i would rate you 7-8.

I love exotic clothes, trasditional clothes from different cultures.but not too gawdy or shiny..I do like silks but feel very confortable in naturalfibres.especially cotton. I love cotton poplin and cotton lawn and very feminine clothes. One day when I can I will love towear beautiful organic clothes but by nature I am not a very confident girl so I don't want to rate myself lol. I don't get that many compliments from close people but I do from strangers, funny that.

Hi yanji, good to hear from you after long. You are already blessed with an enviable waist line and I bet cotton looks great on it. Even I love cotton - nothing like cotton fabric.

I wear clothes more for comfort rather than style. I tend to dress simple although sometimes I do accesorize in order to update my daily wear. I am not a slave to fashion though. I believe I have my own style, one that although not really for the runway, it is at least up to date. As for the rating, I think I am a 7 on both:P

My style is mostly conservative and sometimes more fun and mostly bisnuess dress and on rare occasion casual sometimes but never less than bisnuess casual except when I am sleeping but i'm sure that one was obvious.

Can I have no style?Becuase sometimes I think this, like I don't have my personal style, but i would just copy somethign from magazines or from shopping windows and i think the more people are like this, they just didn't consider it as a copying something. But I have to admit it.I would rate myself as a 7 probably and what i like to wear is really different. It depends on my mood.Sometimes it would be elagant, other time comfortable and sexy.

I have never been a slave to fashion as such and prefer to put together my own look. I make a lot of my own clothes from my own designs too, so I guess I would put myself into the 5 category.

I will have to say that I also believe that simple and comfortable is best for me. I just cannot go for trendy outfits while going to office. I wear the designers outfits only when I need to attend any ceremony or function. I also do not believe in pomp & show. I just do not feel like making my own style...so that people start coming to me (say in fucntion) and ask OH! how could you device your own trend.
It is difficult to say how others rate me on the scale of 10, yet I feel that it should be 7 out of 10 and if I have to rate myself on the scale of 10, it would also be between 7-8.
Excellent Post!
Have a great day!

Hi mimpi1911! I guess, I am more in the simple and comfortable style of dressing. I really go for simple and classic style but my friends tell me that I am simply fashionable. I guess it depends on my mood for that day. I ask my husband now if how he will rate my fashion style, he said a 10! I guess, he is just scared of me. LOL! I will rate myself 7. Take care and have a nice day.

LOL..I bet he is scared of you sweetie!!
Yes, even I believe that the mood decides on the fashion we would carry that day. Whenever I have a bad hair day i do not feel like dress with all accessories right.
And as far as the rating is concerned, I am sure you are being modest and your husband is right.

I never followed fashion. I wear sensible and suitable clothes for each occasion. My church clothes are different from work, and the causal clothes are different too. I am not fussy. I only make sure that the colours I wear blend and the that the closthes fit me well. Iwould rate myself at a 8

Hi friend, we do not have to have expensive, gawdy things to define our style statement. We require bit of attitde and rightsnse to carry it off. I am sure you have plenty of both and you are stlish in your own ways.
Thanks.
