Would you like to be able to add emoticons to your responses or topics??

I am so used to using emoticons from time to time on MSN and other chat mediums as it is a really fun way sometimes to express your mood with a picture rather than just by words. I am not a fan of people who overuse them but they certainly have their place in my opinion!
Do you think it would be good if we were able to use them here? Even just a smiley face or a sad face or a laughing emoticon would be great!

yeah I think mylot would be much fun if we can use emoticons or smileys, just like when we're chatting on msn, ym etc. hopefully one day mylot will consider having some built-in smileys for its users here! :)

It would be a good idea, but I believe mylot would also lose it's essence if they put emoticons here. This has been taken up amny times already, same with "spell-check" feature. I think mylot didn't push it through, since this is a discussions site and not a chatroom.
We just have to stick with those "improvised" symbols we use, the important thiing here is the way we share our inputs and discuss issues with one another..

Fair enough. I do realise that emoticons can get out of hand as well. Many a time I have become quite frustrated while online with some people because they use so many of them! It would be nice though to have a basic selection just to spice things up a little. Thanks for your input!
