Do you think that India needs a full time coach as team has performed quiet well without a coach? In my opinion, India will require the services of a full time coach so as to perform well in the upcoming series against Pakistan and Australia because we can't rely very much on Robin and Venkat, as they don't have a prior coaching experience with any international team except India and moreover he might bring some variety in the present routine which might be helpful in taming mighty Aussies.

Indian teams performance, either it is good or bad is definitely not dependent on coach but only the players who play on the field and hence i feel that coach is not needed for indian team at least for the present moment.

of course the performance is dependent on the players but it is deeply related to the offfield instructions and teachings of a proffessional caoach . we cannot deny role of the coach even if the team is very skilled just like the australins . even thy need a coach . he plays a pivotal role in team's performance .

We need a coach from future perspective, presently the team is performing quiet good but we need a coach who can groom the youngster for the future.Imagine a team without dravid ,ganguly and sachin?

I think the team is fine at the moment, you dont want to disturb that by bringing in a coach. He will come start dictating terms and that causes problems in the team. remember greg chappel almost ruined Pathan's career. i think at the moment there is no need of a coach. And one more thing if you want to be a coach you dont have to be foregner or have the experience of coaching a foreign team, if you have good cricket sense that is enough.

We are concentrating more on youngster now, that is purely because of chappel ,he was the person who believed that bowler win matches and now look out the wide range of bowler we have now and moreover under his regime India's fielding also improved. In the end what i want to say is that a new coach can bring new strategies which will be useful.Anyways thanks for the response

yes you are right , india definately needs an all time coach . of course venkat and robin are like amatuer coaches and should be replaced with a proffesional one as soon as possible .

as india is now being infested with young players we cannot leave them as it is... we need to lead them in the right track and they must be guided by an experianced coach to tell more tactics and the mode of playing.. so they need a coach

In my opinion, we do need a full time coach, some one who has the capability to handle the guys well and knows the weakness of the team and strenghten that. but team india should know to respect their coaches.

I think they need to work hard and play professionally from there side. Any coach can make you play good but unless u wanna play with all ur strength and capacity no one can help. The moral boost up is the need of hour for the INDIA team.

Yes you are absolutely right, fearless attitude and will to do well, will enable India to perform well in crunch situations thereby wining the match. But we do need a coach to do so against opposition like Pakistan and Australia

We definitely need a full time coach. But unlike Chappel it should not be someone who is disruptive to the team. We need a man who understands the Indian Psyche and can keep the team well groomed and up for the challenges up ahead. I think Lal Chand Rajput has actually not done a very bad job in the makeshift coach post. But, I believe he might have to give way to someone else as BCCI would be searching for someone with proven credentials. Cheers! Ram

i think the team does need a coach in the future but not now...only after everyone has forgotten the fiasco that greg chappell left us with....now the pos of coach will only lower ever1's morale in the team...
