I currently drive a 2005 toyota rav 4. Everything is good except the comfort I'm getting inside. It's not so much a problem if I'm driving 30 mph to 60mph. But if my speed went over 64 mph, that's when I can't hear anymore my stereo inside because it's noisy. As if one of my door is not locked properly. I'm searching for any remedy in order to minimize the noise inside coming from the outside. Anyone who knows some of those remedies?

There are three major sources of external noise to produce in-cabin sound interruptions. The noise from engine compartment (front bonnet), spinning tires and the wind.
Better check your front bonnet noise retention sheet. Embedded under the front bonnet (if any) and also at the chassis body in the engine compartment. Make sure there is no air passage hole on the chassis body.
For 4WD tires normally when wear and tear up to 3/4, it will produce noisy sound and the more you speed the more noisy it will be. Through my experience only 'continental' brand tire produces less noise even though having 3/4 for wear and tear.
For external air noise, there two parts. Rubber trim at all windows and doors part (if it found no more elasticity, get it change); and the gear transmission cover panel as it is cluster type. Make sure it is firmly mounted and no air passage hole from under carriage can pass into the cabin.
Thanks, super007.
