I have never heard of people having frogs as actual pets but of course in a backyard pond living free has always been a dream of mind, there is nothing nicer than the sound of frogs,it is so peaceful and having frogs around is a good sign from nature.

some people do have frogs as pets. I myself am hoping I can get a license to breed frogs, so that I can release them into the wild enviornment and help boost the numbers in our area. Ah yes, they certainly have a magic sound and having them around is a good way of seeing how the local habitat is doing.

i used to have albino african clawed frogs as pets. they are so cool. especially when they are little. you can see everything they eat. i know that is discusting but its really was cool. they are kinda clear when they are real small and then they go to a kinda yellowish cream color. they always have the red eyes though. they live strictly in water with some kinds but not all of fish. check them out at like petsmart (i dont support petco) or other places that sell fish. happy mylotting cyndi

Sadly, I don't have frogs as pets. Heck, I'm having trouble keeping my fish happy! lol. Temperamental creatures that don't like having their tanks cleaned. Oh, sorry, we're talking about frog! lol. Here in Australia, if you have the right license, you are able to keep and breed certain species of frogs and keep them as pets. I myself am hoping to work towards this goal. i love frogs and think they would be amazing pets. They'd keep the insect population down too! lol. At the moment, i make do with the ones that visit me. I am very careful in the way I handle them and I always put them back where I found them. My girls like having a look too, and I am teaching them about the animal kingdom and how to respect and treat animals. no, we aren't vegetarian, but I do believe in caring and respecting the wondrous animals nature has provided for us.

I had 2 African Dwarf Frogs. They were real neat to sit and watch. You could not however get them out of the water or they would die. My kids loved to watch them eat and they tank was real easy to take care of. I suggest that everyone have a pet frog. In or out of water I love them.
