moving house

ok so who is moving house at the moment and what are your experiences of it like so far? We managed to get a half decent offer on our house and put in an offer on one we like, does anyone know how long it should take now before we are all done and realaxing in our new home?
The thing is that we had a valuation report done and it came back saying the house we want has indications of damp, is this a problem? What can we do about it?
Please help guys and tell me of your experiences! Im eager to find out more about all this moving house business!

The last time I moved it was a complete disaster, firstly I had everything packed and waiting for the truck to arrive to move all my things when he rings me to tell me he just had an accident and can't come but he did give me the phone number of someone else that may be able to help me so I get on the phone explain my situation and the phone company disconnects my phone before I could give them my address, then I hade to go running to a neighbout to recall, moving took so long then I couldn't catch my cat I think I was near a nervous breakdown by the end of the day...
