Is paypal fully available in the Philippines

Earlier this month, PayPal has announced its new feature of RECEIVING funds from different markets. Accordingly, in addition to the existing sending money capabilities and the new withdrawal features, registered members in the Philippines and Indonesia can now RECEIVE funds from 190 markets and 17 currencies. Thus, PayPal now is fully functional in the Philippines. BTW, a credit/debit/ATM card is needed to verify our PayPal account. We can now use our Union Bank of the Philippines bank account/card with PayPal.

Is it only Union bank is the only bank I can use? Do I have to verify my paypal account to received and send money?

Paypal works with any banks/credit/debit/ATM cards provided they have the Mastercard, Visa, American Express logo. PayPal requires that our accounts/cards are to be verified.

If you have a Visa credit card, you can actually transfer your funds from paypal to the credit card. The charges are USD5 for every transaction. But I think this is ok as you can get to withdraw or use the credits in your credit card. No matter where you are, as long as any outlet accepts visa credit cards, you should be alright.
