How do you greet your friends?

On business or political occasions, people greet each other in a normal way.When meeting old friends,people speak more casually.
so what do you say say when greeting an old friend?

I usually say 'hello' or a 'hi' to colleagues and to formal acquaintances. However, to greet old friends who are very close I would hug them tight (if it's a female) and a very earnest, heartwarming handshake (if it's a male).
