Help needed. I get no notification from Mylot to my email. You know why?

Hello my dear friends,
These two days I have no idea why I cannot receive mylot notification to my email as I used to with lots of mylot notification.
I am wondering why. Could you tell me how to solve this problem, please? I need to have the notification to my email as I have been used to responding to my friends' discussions via my email notification about discussions from Mylot.
By the way, this kind of problem occured one time months ago. I was looking for my mylot notification about the new discussions in my inbox, but later I found them all in the "bulk" instead of in the "inbox", but that is ok because I could still have my notification. But now I cannot receive any notification either in the "inbox" or in the "bulk". I am unhappy about this and eager to get it fixed.
Could anyone tell me how to get this problem solved, please?

When I first joined MyLot, I had no problem receiving notifications to any discussions and such that I was in or initiated, but lately, I have noticed they don't come and I have to come back to the site to see what was said about certain things I replied to. So no, your not alone.

No problem. no problem. matter of fact, I got an email notification to your reply just now. So I guess things are doing well now.

So I am not the only one that has ever had this problem, but there was one time all of my mylot notification went to the "bulk", but it was ok because I could still have the notification, but this time nowhere could I find it. I was so upset for this.
Anyway I am happy to tell you that it was fixed yesterday afternoon with you friends' help. Thanks for your response, dear Savvynlady.

its bad dear. have you checked your e-mail setting? are you sure that you not blocked mylot sender? you should check your e-mail that you submit in mylot also. and if those kind not working, my suggest that you should new e-mail account and put in your mylot user info. but i think it will be the last way to get in touch with mylot forum

Hello plumwish. I am happy to tell you that this problem has been fixed now and I am again able to receive my email notification from mylot because I have used another email box of mine for the notifications from mylot. I got this fixed from the help of you all friends. Thanks very much for your concern, dear plumwish.

Hellow, how do you do?
Your problems could be due to the following:
1. Your email service provider may be puttting them in spam folder
2. There should be some glitch in mylot system
3. Probably there may notbe much much emails.
You can send a mail to ADMIN mylot informing about this.
If you have another email i.d., please change it in mylot so that you continue to get the emails.

I am so happy that the suggestion given was of great help and it worked for you. Once upon a time I was so crazy about mylot, one day if I am not able to get communication from mylotians, I would make heaven and earth move to get my problem fixed. Hello ssh, my dear friend. Thank you very much for your help and informative response that enabled me to have this problem fixed today. I just changed my email box for mylot notification and now I am starting to have email notification from mylot. I am very happy for this and thank you again.

Hi jisir, I did face the same problem since months back. I just thought all this might be due to the temporary glitch of the yahoo mail system. So I just ignored it. Sometimes I could only receive some of mylot notifications emails in the ‘spam’ instead of in the ‘inbox’.
I afraid I might miss my friends’ notification emails so every time I login mylot I first go to their profiles and check whether there are any new discussions. Did you remember, I had answered one of your old discussions something about how to make friend with your son. As there was no notification received I thought it was the new discussion as it appeared on the top of your discussions you had started. And I had never answered it before. After posted I then found out it was started months ago lol... The discussion was a bit lengthy and, I afraid it might make you bored lol...
I am lucky that today I could receive some of mylot notifications in my mail box, of course including yours.
One of my colleagues did suggest me to visit yahoo FAQ and ask for help. But I haven’t tried that until now, as I am such a procrastinator. Or you can try to email the site related. Are you using yahoo or others?

I am glad to learn that your previous problem had already been solved in such a short time. I don’t have to worry about any of my new discussions unattended since your function of notification had become normally again lol...
I understand that any mylotter is very busy as this could be seen from a man who came back from his work and straight away went to mylotting.

Good afternoon dear lkbooi. I just came back from work and I am now very happy to tell you that this problem has already been fixed because now I have got notification from Mylot to another yahoo email box of mine. It is strange that some notification emails are in the inbox and more are in the bulk. They go to different sections of my email box. Anyway I am happy for either of them because I can have notification now and I won't miss my friends' discussions any more. if they used to be in your mailbox and now bulk then maybe you accidentally report them as spam. if now you don't receive it, and you do not turn notification off, I guess only mylot knows why.

some months back i too had this problem for 2 days..i didnt get any notification about the discussions started by my friends..usually they are found in bulk folder..you can mail to mylot admin regarding this problem..i hope this problem will be fixed by mylot..

Thank you, subathra, for your nice idea about this problem. I am glad to tell you that it has been fixed today. Now I am using a new email box for Mylot and it is still strange that some notifications come to my Inbox and some come to my bulk. Anyway I am happy now because I can find them both in my email box. You have to put the myLot notification either in your white list or your address book. That will ensure that you get them. I just go to the web as the mail I use for myLot is my writing specific email and it has a limited storage space and if I want more I have to pay for it.
What you should do, if there is not a specific myLot address, is to put your friends's email that they use for myLot in your address book. Also if you are using a gmail account, make sure to enter the entry "nospam"

Well the "notify" on mylot is turned on as always. I used to have always lots of email notifications to my former email box. I just don't know for what reason I could not receive any days ago.
Anway I am very pleased to tell you that this problem is out of question after I was told by friends here to change the email address for the email notifications from mylot. These two days the notifications all come to either my new email inbox or bulk, which I can have them all. It is very satisfactory to me. So I am not the only person who is having this problem.
I feel so bad that I cannot have any notification from Mylot these two days and it is very important for me to have the notification from Mylot, otherwise I would be in a position not to know my friends' new discussions and responses to those discussions that I have responded to. I just cannot help feeling so bad about the loss of the notification.

I wasn't getting all my notifications a while back either. It went on for several days. I ended up having to start an email account that I use solely for MyLot. So far, I haven't had anymore problems. Maybe you could try that. I use Gmail for MyLot.

Hello Flight. It is a good idea to have a special email account for Mylot. Now I am happy to tell you that my problem is fixed. I just found it fixed this afternoon because the notification emails are now in my another email account. How happy I am because I can contact my friends for their discussions again! Hi Will. I have had the problem too and know lots of other members had this bad experience. I wrote about it to myLot adm and they wrote back to me that they sorted the problem. However they havn't. I still don't receive all the notification mails and those i do receive, seem to be coming pretty random.
Between you and me I think this site is going downhill and that's pretty fast. They need to do something about the well deserved criticism and members suggestions if they are going to survive the next year, instead of messing everything up, rule like dictators and ban members as if there is no tomorrow.

Hello dear kim. Glad to let you know that this problem of mine has already been fixed for a few days. It was fixed the second day after I posted this discussion with the good ideas of all of you, my dear and helpful friends. So I am enjoying my email notification again every day. My referral also passed up to me her e-mail notification problem. She is currently using Yahoo! e-mail facility. I had told her to contact mylot to report her current e-mail notification problem. She had done it for the last 2 days but still not yet receive any answer from mylot staff through her mylot Private Message (PM).
My next referral was using G-mail, he enjoy with G-mail (e-mail) responsiveness for his e-mail notification. And faster compare to Yahoo! service.
About my e-mail notification, so far I don't have any problem and the only thing is Yahoo! really slow in conveying me the mylot discussion notification.
I don't have any good idea to resolve you problem, Sir William. I think you got to let mylot staff know your problem and put things right back.
Until to this second, my referral's left unresolved by mylot staff.

Morning, darkaeon. Thank you very much for your analysis to this problem. The notification of Mylot to my email had always been coming before I received no more notification three days ago. At the very beginning the notification was in the "inbox" and later it went to the "bulk", where I could still receive and read them, and later none came to my "bulk" of my email. Last night, with the help of my friends, I changed my email address and just now I received Mylot--Account Verification in "bulk". Now it is working well again in the new email address.
