Hello all, I have a small question that I wanted to ask. I have been trying to lose weight for a long time now, and I have bought so many exercise machines etc. and I seem to lose a bit of weight and not manage to lose any more.
I was wondering if anyone out there had tried any diet pills and found that they actually work?
I know you shouldn't really take pills, but I'm getting annoyed with exercising my butt off and not losing anymore weight!
Let me know which diet pills have worked for you, and which ones I should avoid?
Thanks, in advance, for your help!

I read "French Women Don't Get Fat" and it changed my life. I have been heavy all my life and have tried every diet and every pill out there. Nothing worked for me. I bought this book and read it from cover to cover. That was 6 months ago. I have gone from 337 pounds to 260 pounds. I went from a size 32 to a size 22. This morning I realized that my size 22s are big. I tried on some size 20s at the store today and they fit. Nothing has ever worked for me this well. The secret?
You take a hard look at your relationship with food and then change it to one that is no longer guilt but pleasure. I used to feel guilty if I had something to eat that wasn't on my "diet". Now, I take great pleasure in my food. I truly enjoy every single bite. I eat what I want, when I want. I change my view and relationship with food. I make eating a pleasure. I use my good dishes and glassware. I make a presentation of my food. I buy and eat only the best food that I can. I find that by eating only quality foods, I do not eat as much. I am satisfied with less and I don't crave foods anymore. If something has not satisfied me in 5 bites or less, then it was not something that I truly desired and I stop eating it.
I have told everyone who will listen about this book. So far, two friends of mine have gotten copies and both of them have already lost weight. One friend lost 15 pounds the first month. The other lost an amazing 25 pounds in 3 weeks. They have both become true believers in the French secret as I like to call it. It is healthier for you than some pill or herb. Go to your local library and check the book out. Try it out and see if it doesn't change your life. It changed my life and the lives of two of my friends.
There is no one diet fits all so you have to try different things and find out what works for you. French Women Don't Get Fat works for me.

Add me as a friend and we can talk more about the book. I got mine right after it came out from a book club, but my local library has several copies and most book stores have it now too. Add me and I can help you find a copy if you live in an area that might not have one readily available to you.

Wow, this book sounds brilliant. Where can I get it? If I add you as a friend, could you possibly tell me more? I have bought books like this before I have found that they are rubbish, but if it worked for you, it could work for me!
Thanks for your advice!

have you ever heard of bloodtype diet?
I have like type O positive. And i bought a book with the things people with that bloodtype
can have and cannot have for food. There's also a book with recipies for these types of blood.
I just started for a week so i'm not sure that it works but i've heard from my colleague that a friend of her lost lots of weight in a year time with it.
So maybe it's worth the try.Don't do pills they might work for a while but as soon as you stop taking them it all comes back very fast.

I lost 26 lbs on a high protein very low carb diet and exercise. However I gained 15 back when could not exercise this last 2 months due to injury. So got to almost start over. Also it is very hard on a low income budget of $15,900 and feeding 12 people. If I could swim 3 times a week it would help as well. I was a size 24 now size 20 so that is some help. But now sitting on a stupid plateu. But taking action now to get off, Starting over for the next 3 months with my A list again and can exercise again so should lose again. About 2 lbs a week. LOW CARBS, HIGH PROTEIN. Chromium pictolate, L-Arginine, L Glutimine, L-Carnitine and Hoodia Gordia is what my naturopath has me on. He said if I had not hurt my back I would have been done another 15-20 lbs or more. But to just start on my A list again. Manna from Heaven bread and veggies and fruits, Chicken, fish, Buffalo 3 Omega eggs and Chicken or turkey sausage for breakfast daily. All this helped and will help again. Plus ball exercise and walking or swimming

HI there! I definately know a thing or two about losing weight I gained over 100 pounds with my son who is 3 years old now, and it took me 2 years to lose it all!! I had to watch my calories closely (I ate under 1200 calories daily) and exercised for at least 2 hours per day (I had major results quickly with Billy Blanks Taebo tapes) They are a lot of fun, and fairly easy to learn and do!! It's all about eating a lot less than you burn, and I used to hate it when people told me that but it is so true!!! i was always looking for a quick fix but I quickly learned pills and junk did not work!! You have to do some old fashion sweating and not eating.. LOL alhough, I did hit a patau when i had only 20 more punds to lose and my doctor put me on adderall for ADHD and it curbed my appetite, and I lost it! But I mainly did all of it the old fashion way though..

You don't need diet pills. I went on a high-protein, low carbohydrate diet about 5 years ago and have lost over 50 pounds. It really works and it is even better if you east 5 or 6 small meal a day rather than a couple of large ones. I am sure you have heard this before but when I found out I was diabetic I started reading books on it and they all said the same thing - stay away from carbs because the turn to pure sugar in your system. Did you know that a medium small baked potato with nothing on it is the same as eating 20 teaspoons of pure sugar?
If you are serious about losing weight do it slowly and gradually and you have a better chance of keeping it off. It is better to lose 1/2 pound every week than to lose 5 a week and gain 6 back.
Good luck.

See, I'm a serious carbohydrate junkie! I love potatoes and pasta and bread and I find it really hard to get through day without eating carbs!
I am making a jacket potato in the oven as we speak!
I tried the Atkins diet but only lasted 1 day! I can't live without my carbs, would wholemeal bread and pasta be better than white?

ANYTHING is better than white. Think of it, as if it's glue. White flour really sticks to your body, it also raises your blood sugar which makes you want more of it. A never-ending cycle really. I know cutting out carbs seems drastic, but it's a very good kick-start to any regime. You eventually start adding the good carbs, whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, oatmeal, any kind of bean, and so on. If you think of it as temporary, you should be fine. Another hint is, after about a week or two of low carb eating, you actually really do want less. You retrain your body and mind. Green tea is also great, because it revs up your metabolism. Good luck. :)

Yeah I see what you mean, I already drink Green tea and I have green tea tablets that I take too. I'm currently taking Trim Secrets tablets - they are completely herbal and have green tea in them too. They seem to be doing something, just not a lot.
I'll try the Carb's thing, it's gonna be hard! Lol!

I don’t a story of weight problem but my sister experienced a problem of hers. Since she was in high school she’s fat (but not that fat) until she has a career, she still have those fats until two years ago I guess she lose lots of weight. She started losing when she got sick and I was afraid because she was really thin. Her build or her bone structure is really small so she has the reason to be this small now. What I then think is that, if you have a small bone structure, you’ll have the chance to lose weight one day. Just have some discipline of your body like maintain the food you’re eating and do some exercise.

I have not taken any diet pills. I am on Weight Watchers. I also walk a few times a week and take a Ballet Fit class. I have lost around 10 lbs so far. I also drink a lot of water. Sometimes it takes time. I do not know much about the pills to be honest. Hope something works out for you.

you are beautiful like this you do not have to lose your weight, you are not very fat
any way i know some things you can do to lose your weight:
1-do not take pills and replace it by green tea
(green tea is burn fat)i tried it before because i was a kung fu player and i have to stop on exact weight to participate in the championships.
2-drink 3 cups of water (first one before eating_ second one middle of eating_and third after eating)it will make you satisfy.
3-do not drink pepsi cola or any drinks like this because it makes fat in the stomach
4-when you sit get used to sit straight it will help to burn fat too
5-walking it is an easy sport.

Thanks for the compliment. I just don't feel happy in myself! I have been drinking green tea, perhaps I should drink more? Also, I will try walking more! Cars have taken over our lives and we are all becoming more lazy because of them!
I drink a lot of water anyway, but I never thought of drinking water as you suggested. I will try it and let you know how I get on!
Thanks for your comment!

I had great luck with a protein shake called "columbia" that was sold several years ago..i would drink a shake of this stuff (chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry ) and then drink a lot of water with it and during the day..also I would use this drink for breafast and lunch..and work a eight hour day in the factory...but when i got home i had a regular tv dinner (lean cuisince or a weight watchers meal) and again I drank a lot of water..but you do have to go the the bathroom a lot..but in a short time i lost the weight...like in a months time i lost 40 pounds and ended up selling this product to my co- workers as they could see that i was well motivated and had a lot of energy...they the people I sold it too also thought the product was good..it was only about $ 20.00 a can...
but GNC stores sella similar product as well as most good helath food stores that sell these supplements..but be careful and always drink your water and get the correct amount of vitiamins and minerals...water is a key ingredient as it flushes the fat from your body...see a doctor if you have any doubts or problems like kidney stones, lack of postassium, (eat bananas), and blood pressure...stay away from sugar and white flour and most processed foods and you will get the results you are looking for...exercise is also a key to building muscle and getting rid od the fat but take it easy when you start out...walk before you run...have fun and get a partner to do this with ..it will challenge you

I had a weight problem a while ago and i stumbled upon these products brought out by herbalife. I lost 25 kg's in 6 months. While taking the products there is no need to excercise as long as you follow your mentors instructions. You receive full support all the way till the end. What kind of lime? Here in Texas we have several varieties of lime available to us. We have some that are as big as small apples and some that are as small as kumquats. I use a Mexican variety in my cooking and get about a tablespoon of juice from each lime. The larger limes give more juice. I know it sounds silly, but some limes have more citric acid in their juice than others and I was wondering if it was a specific variety of lime that you use.

Ooooh I might try that lime thing. I quite like lime cordial, would that work or does it have to be fresh lime juice?
