I live in Southern California a place that never sees rain, and when we do it rains only for a little bit, With all that has been going on here espically with all the fires we all have prayed for rain, well the rain caome today, and yes for only 5 minutes

You can have our rain. Here in New Jersey, it has been raining for three days straight! I hope your region gets some relief soon. *Sends the rain your way* :)

I am extremely sorry to hear about great loss of vegetation, forest area and even more loss for human settlements at your place due to fire. I saw in the TV the speech of your Governor and the President. I hope it is going to rain for more than 5 minutes to cool down the place and also it helps put off the fire at the earliest.

I just said to my mom the other day as we entered out third or fourth straight day of rain that if only we could send some out there to you guys. That's always the way it seems, droughts and fires in one place and floods in another. Here's a funny side note I have to add; my husband and I travelled to California in 1998 to see the Nascar races in Fontana and we stayed in Riverside. Well, in Southern California, the place that never sees rain, the race got shortened by rain. Later that year we went to Pheonix, a place where it absolutely, positively NEVER rains, also to see the Nascar races as well as some WoO sprint races. GUESS WHAT? Another rain shortened event. In 2000 we took our first (and only so far) trip to Las Vegas to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Again we got tickets to the Nascar races and sprint races. They were forecasting rain for the weekend from the time we arrived but everyone kept telling us "They always say that but it never happens, don't worry!" I guess I don't have to tell you what happened, do I? Now our fellow race-fan friends call us before making any plans to travel to a Nascar event. If WE'RE going they WON'T!

I missed it over here in Santa Monica. I don't normally care much for the rain. But, right now I am longing terribly for it. I know that we need it and a lot of it at that. Not only for the fires, but for the drought also.
