it is ironic that woman caught of stealing two cans of baby's milk was put to shame and even detained at a jail facility or a man caught of stealing pair of jeans and shirts was beaten by a mob and later sent to prison. While a president, tried and convicted by a court of plundering millions of pesos, given special treatment during his detainment, and now free... absolutely free of those charges that was filed to him. Considering the hundred of thousands spent during the trial and precious time spent for it, but everything came to waste. No other than the president granted the pardon in the name of national unity, in effect estrada never even stepped inside one of our national jail facilities even an hour or a day. This is a desperate move of the president to save herself from the different issues that are compiling against her administration. Even a grade 6 student who are now increasingly aware of our political state can understand why PGMA gave away the stability of the system over her personal ambition to stay in power. Where is the idea of "NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW". In fact, PGMA used her powers to circumvent the execution of the functions of the government, in this case the execution of the sentence of ERAP. PGMA had undermined our laws and the wisdom of our institution. PGMA betrayed the so little victories of the fight against corruption and restoration of the trust of the people towards the legal system. PGMA gave the permission for all government official to corrupt and steal and plunder. Pitiful philippines and all of us who pay our taxes taken from our hard earned work.
