the national selectors on saturday sprung a major surprise by "dropping" dravid and selecting sehwag in the fifteen member one day squad for the first two matches of the upcoming cricket series against arch rivals pakistans....
do u think this is a correct decision?feel free to post anything you feel like...and give me your opinion...

Totally wrong. If out of form is the reason for dropping dravid, how did the selectors selected out of form shewag.

It looks like Dravid has no god father in Indian Cricket Board, whereas Sehwag is able to get listed in Indian team. You give sehwag 10 chances he will shine in 2 whereas Dravid will shien in more than 5 matches. I feel the selectors should take Dravid and srop sehwag.

yes i do think it was a good decision to drop dravid as he was not performing and i do think it is good to call back shewag in the onedays as he was not given a chance in the ODI's after the world cup debacle.Hence forth i think it is a good decision to drop dravid hence he will be thinking about it will be able to sort out the problem he has for now.

actually it is absolutely wromg to leave dravid behind the team... for the first 2 ODIs
as a senior player he should be treated well.......
elimination is not the decision for dravid's temporary out of form........
he should always be given chance to redeem his career..
since every player has their own bad patch in the cricket career......
no props we will call it as a rest for dravid.....

This is definitely not right, if the selectors have selected any new youngster instead of rahul dravid, I would have agreed but instead they again went for sehwag, which is absurd, who is not even connecting the ball with bat these days. This is total stupidity on the part of the jokers called selectors of indian cricket. This clearly shows how politics is ruining indian cricket these days.

I think that now we must stop to think about selection because they are not following any system rather than their own settings for zonal destribution, influencial suggestions and othe non-cricket elements regarding the match making for some thing out of ground things!
Otherwise Sehwag have had very poor performences continuously since last 15 months and during these months Dravid has lead india, played few fine innings, won one test series and left captaiship also! What ever he has GUTS TO BECOME WALL AND WHEN NEEDED TO HIT THE BALL! While SWehwag only wants to hit the ball and get the run!
I some time think that by creating some controversial things the bcci is trying to boost up the cricketing mania again in Indian people and 20 overs world cup winning has done such thing very well also but when it comes to 50 overs we are still there as before! So again some thing controversial thing will generate people's interest again and so it is done!
The logical things we cant expect from BCCI and its selectors or from any individual who really don't know that whats cricket and its procedures!

Yeah, the decision was quiet right because dravid managed to score only 51 runs of 6 games he played. Moreover they made a strong statement that nobody's position is secure that is good sign for Indian cricket

i dont think its a right decision to keeo dravid out of the side.the news showed the inside story.it seems the relations between Vengasarkar and dravid wasn't good at all.(this was the reason dravid resigned as a captain)Vengasarkar was looking at an opportunity to take revenge.the folowing was the reaction of Vengasarkar when asked by a Bcci selector to give phone call dravid
BCCI selector:"should we inform dravid about this?(his absence in the team)
Vengasarkar:"no need to inform him.did he inform us when he resigned his captaincy?"
is this the treatment given to senior player?i dont think dravid deserves it.its all politics.
its a fact to be noted that two years ago ganguly has also removed from the team in this same month and took one and a half years to find a place in the team.i hope dravid doenst have to go through that trauma.
