i love to collect but i am no pack rat... because, i am dangerous with things to be disposed... hahaha.. i usually do my cupboard, wardrobe, stuff cleaning several times a year. especially when i feel i need to decompress... i just get out a plastic bag and start setting stuff to give away... however, i have still collections of books, coins, stamps... how about you?

I used to collect books, but I had to leave almost all of them back in Indo when I moved to Finland. I'd LOVE to collect more books 'coz I want to have my own private library at home (hopefully someday I'll have my own small spot for a small library or just big shelves). My hubby, on the other hand, collects Euro coins from different countries and he collects DVDs and music CDs. He has boxes of DVDs and music CDs.

I like collecting English books...but since I used to work as a translator, every time the translated book got published, I got one copy, so in Indo I had around 100 Indonesian books that I had translated myself he he he he...

Yes, I think my collection is very special. I collect dogs and cats' photos and news from the newspaper and magazines. They are both my favorite animals.

i used to have. i used to collect those 101 dalmatians from mcdonalds (that's where my salary used to go, in mcdonalds happy meals), angel figurines, stuffed toys, wedding souvenirs, stationeries, pens, etc. etc. i love to collect. but then again, i grew out of it. you see, i will have to clean everything and since our house is open and the roads were not paved, these things have to be cleaned every week. then i got tired. so i decided to simply my life. no more collections. i just appreciate what others have but i don't want to collect stuff anymore. just memories i guess. at least there's not much clutter in my life now. :-)

Not yet. When I was a young girl I used to collect stamps, card calendars, postcards, etc. But now.... Maybe one special: I collect the feng shui things. But it does not mean that I buy something each week. I do not have so much place in my flat, but the feng shui things make me smile. A buddha, elephants, turtle, Sense sticks, Chrystal. I like to make my home nicer with them.

I used to have a lot of collections when I was younger, and lived with my parents, I used to collect calendars, matches, cactus, magnets... etc... but after I moved from my parents house and I keep moving, I do not have space to move stuff around... My best collection ever are my friends... I can keep them anywhere I go!

I used to collect things "better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it" I wasn't a pack rat, but just didn't see thepoit of throwing away something I paid for and might need again. However, shoes and purses are what I love and hang on to. Had a knee injury while backa nd just recently with this last move, gave away all my wonderful high heels as I can't wear them anymore. Broke my heart! But I kept my red ones - don't care if i can't wear them, they are my red shoes and I'm keeping them!! I do collect I Love Lucy things - on a small scale. I ahve a set of mugs I use one every morning. A blanket on the couch of "Califronia Here We Come" and a watch, pin, stationery, and one shelf of other stuff. I had a small bathroom at my other house, I decorated that with I Love Lucy stuff! Now it sits in a box as I don't have room for it in this apt but I am not throwing it away!! Scrapbook stuff - I collect that - more before than now. I also collect things my GD's do - crafts, pictures, that little stick she picked up off the ground outside thinking it was interesting and kissed it and handed it to me and said "Here Nanny this is for you - it is holding a kiss for when you need one and I'm not here". I defy anyone to have the nerve to throw THAT away!

hi... the last few lines highlights that your grandmom is really, really smart. hahaha..how can you throw that away... well, how big of space do you need to keep your collectibles? i feel cramped at times in my room that i have to just give or throw something away... hahaha.
