What are you waiting for?

I was walking my dog about an hour ago, and a man was standing on the sidewalk that leads to the road we pull out to when we leave our apartment complex. He had on a suit, so I figured he was waiting on a ride to church. He kept waiting and waiting, looking up and down the road. I don't know if he eventually left, hopefully whatever or whomever he was waiting for showed up.
If you were waiting on the side of the road or on the sidewalk, what would you be waiting for? I'd probably be waiting for my dog to quit sniffing something, long enough to cross over to the other side. What would you be waiting for? A car? A person? Guffman?

I will waiting for somebody. I think he was waiting for his friend or mother , or his son , or somebody , but maybe he was waiting to go near him and kill you. There are very mutch psyhopats on the streets , you will never know for what was waiting on the sidewalk. So be carefull...:)

When I was a kid my friends and I used to wait along the sidewalk and play a guessing game. We would guess the last number on the license plate of the car that passes by.
Now, I would still wait for a car not guess its number but for a ride to work.

I would probably be waiting for a train to pass, or for traffic to clear so I could get where I was going. My husband would be standing by, waiting for me to get up the energy to get going again. Oh, I might be waiting for him to quit petting whatever stray animal he found to pet.

I use to stand on the road for like two or three hours, waiting for my sister to come and pick me up. She would call early in the morning and tell me what time she would be there. I would be ready and waiting on time. She would be at home struggling to round up all six of her out of control kids and get them ready to come get me.
I wouldn't want to go in and call, for fear I would miss her. But, every now and then, I would run up to the third floor, just to hear one of the kids say, my mom said to tell you we are on our way. I would be way too excited about seeing the kids to get mad or give up. So, I would stay out there and pace back and forth until she finally drove up with her brood. Then, I would get spit on, kicked, hit, talked about, wait a minute, why was I excited to see those brats? Family, you have to love them.

Out in the country, I have no reason to wait for anything on the road, but sometimes I'm out walking, I'll get off the road, stand way off to the side, and wait for a car to pass. I don't trust vehicles on my road, because it's a small road and a lot of young kids drive way too fast.
