do you usually wear red belt around your waist in your " fate year"?

in our country,if you were born in "cow year",then "cow year" is your "fate year".every 12 years,you will have a "fate year", in which year,it is said you are always not smooth,that is ,some thing bad is easy to happen to you,so you must be cautious to do things.although it sounds a little superstitious,some people still believe in it.they usually wear red underwears and red waistbelt to symbolize
good luck.in other words,if you do like this ,it is likely to avoid the bad luck that will come to you.so my hubby let me to buy a red underwear for him.hehe.do you think it interesting?i don't believe in superstition at all.but i think it very interesting,so i will buy one for him.how do you think about you?do you have the similiar custom in your country to share with us?

in my country, we do believe in fate year too but we dun wear red belts or underwear, as far as i know.. unless got ple really wear.. haha.. wat we do is go pray at the temple and get a amulet for protection during the fate year ;)

hi raychill.glad to know you also know about the chinese astrology and you are year of the dog.usually red color is a good color which symbolize happiness and luck.so a bride always wear red voile sitting in the red car,which symbolize happiness.so your red belt will bring good luck to you.at ordinary times,we can wear clothes of any color,of course red is ok,but in the fate year,people always tend to buy red clothes,if not at least to buy red belt or underwears.haha.it is very interesting.so if you are the year of dog,red belt will be your best choice in the year of dog.

Good to know. I only know that I'm year of the dog, that's about the only thing I know about Chinese Astrology to be quite honest.
I'm actually wearing my red belt right now!
But I will have to find out when the next year of the dog is and hope that it's a good year for me. I could use a good year.

Here in China when it is the fate year, people usually wear red underwears to avoid getting bad luck. But I didn't wear any red underwear when my fate year came because I was not told about that before. Maybe it was not so popular then. But when I got to know this, my fate year was gone and I have to wait for the next fate year. For sure I will get two pairs of red underwear when it comes.
It is interesting to know that you have the same custom like we have here in China. Maybe this is the custom that Asian countries share with? Just guess, I have no idea about it. hehe
