Does anyone know of any really good homemade acne treatments? Not just for a pimple here and there, but for the all over your face acne. Ive tried several different products, but none seem to really work. Any ideas?

aloe vera - aloe plant
try to buy an aloe plant. aloe vera plant is what they call it. http://www.gardensablaze.com/HerbAloeMed.htm see the link o know more. or you may use this, although i havent tried it but my cousin tried it and is effective on her, i hope it is to you also. You may try one of the following homemade pimple treatments. 1) Application of fresh mint juice over face every night cures pimples and prevents dryness of the skin. 2) Mix equal amounts of lemon juice and rose water. Apply on face and keep for 1/2 hour. 3 to 4 weeks of this application helps cure pimples and also removes blemishes and scars 3) Use 2-3 tsp. dried basil leaves to 1 cup boiling water. Steep 10-20 minutes. Cool, and apply with cotton ball.

Thank you so much for your reply. Im going to try some of these, they sound really interesting. I have nothing to lose. One remedy Ive heard is putting your first mornings urine on your face...thats never gonna happen! LOL

wash your face with just water, nothing else.any spots you have before you start cover with toothpaste and leave a blob on for atleast half hour.then just use water.make-up doesnt help. i told my girlfriend this and she as not had any since.spot creams seem to make things worse.

My mom used egg whites as a facial mask, she always had a beautiful complexion (you never would have known she was 77). I used it when I was a teenager, I always had pretty clear skin myself. I have had people comment that I have such a smooth complexion, I haven't done it for a while because quite frankly I forgot about it. I have even tried using the egg white substitute. It's a lot cheaper than commercial facial masks, you just put a little in a cup or bowl and whisk it like you're going to scramble them. Smooth it over your (dry) face and wait a few minutes for it to dry. You'll feel your skin pulling tighter but it's not painful, then rinse it off with warm water. I have very sensitive skin and since this is natural it doesn't bother my skin at all. If you try this, I hope you like the results.
