I saw The Godfather trilogy few times but I always got a bit bored and can't remember much about it, but when I started to read the book I was very excited and couldn't stop reading it until I've finished it.I'm not a big fan of reading because it's easily to see a movie instead of reading n pages but there are few books that actually caught my attention The Godfather being one of them .
I think the trilogy was very good but it still can't compare with the book. What do you think?:)

I like the movie because the movie has portrayed what I imagined when I'm reading the book. :-)

I had read the book first a long time ago before being able to watch the movie. The movie is well presented but I loved the book more. The book was very well written by Mario Puzo that there are parts of the book where I could feel fear, hatred, excitement while reading. If a book can arouse all sorts of emotions and makes you feel like you are part of the story, that's a great book. And for me, the Godfather book is the best book I have ever read so far.

You are very right, I too thought the book was very good in comparison to the films, although I did watch and enjoy the films. I actually read the book before I saw the film, something I tend to do quite a lot as I would rather read the book than watch the film. But the funny thing was reading the book and then watching the film I felt like I knew the characters, like they were old friends!! So my vote will go towards the book.

I agree with you. The movie is good but the book is better. Because the 3hrs of movie is not enough to cover everything is the book. That means the story in the book is more detail. Any part that's not so clear in the movie has been told completely in the book. So, the reader will have a clear understanding towards the story line. SAHIKO, how many Godfather books do you have? Because as far as I know, they're several books out there.

I choose book! It`s hundred more detail than movie. whatever from the psychological or environment describing, books are the best one, movies kill our imagination from the real storise.
