Hahaha, don't worry about it, I'm sure I've done it before too. You must live in a sub tropical area to get those exotic fruits. The only one of those readily available where I am is mango, and they are yummy! Chicken and fruit are a great combination ;)

Mine was noodles in all forms and shapes (still is) and custard and pudding as desert. Apart from these, I used to love my mom's home home made cake kind of thing which has a very local, Indian taste. The veggies were not my stuff and I remember my mom snapping at me on table ver meals for not taking those. Those were the days, sweetie..

Indians are known for spicy and hot food but currently new experiments are being done. It's fun to play with cuisine and ppl are getting more and more adapted to it unlike old times. Thanks.

Yes, cuisine is changing so fast these days. It can be hard to know what is from where because several national dishes are mixed together! lol.

Yum! I love noodles too! lol. And I have to say, I am quite partial to Indian and Sri Lankan foods too. have a very special friend from Sri Lanka, and my word, the lady can cook! lol. I like hot foods the best these days, and if something needs extra flavour, I go for the chilli! lol.

When I was a child I love to eat chicken skin. I don't know why I just love to eat chicken skin that was why the older people in the house gave me chicken skin everyday they don't eat it they gave it to me so I had lot of chicken skin when I was a kid. My father said that was probably why I looked so chubby and my skin was as smooth as chicken skin. *jokingly*

I love crispy chicken skin! lol. I've always required a slightly higher than normal intake of fat, and one of the easiest ways to get it is crispy chicken skin.

When I was a kid I loved white rice with lots of butter, salt and pepper. I also really liked broiled cinnamon toast that my mom used to make. She'd toast the bread then butter 1 side and sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar then put it under the broiler until the sugar was melted. It was so tasty.

That would be ice cream for me. When I was a child, I always crave for ice cream. Now that I am grown up already, it has changed. Though I still eat ice cream, it is usually during occasions.

I love ice cream too! Anything chocolate of course! lol. Like you, I don't eat much of it these days either, most of it is just basically ice with a bit of milk swished in and costs a fortune for what it really is.

I loved very much the poppy-seed pasta. When I was about 8 yrs old I spent a month in the hospital. When my mom asked, what lunch I would have liked to eat when I went home I had said that poppy-seed pasta, that was a very cheap request from me :) My teeth were wonderful I loved everyting that was sweet. But this is a very funny memory.

When I was a toddler my favourite baby foods were carrots and squash. I ate so much of them that my skin turned yellow and people thought I had Jaundice. After that I never really have a "favourite", I just ate whatever I was exposed to. I had a lot of broccoli, spinache, rice, macaroni and calamari.

I loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I always wanted that for lunch and in my lunch box at school. The second part was rolled oat cookies, not the kind you think of with raisins in it, but what they call oat cakes. My mother used to make them and there was a recipe on the Robin Hood package then. I do not think it is there anymore. I can make them without a recipe, but I prefer to use butter and lard rather than shortening and brown sugar.

And both leeks and eggs can be used in a quiche! One of my favourite foods now I am an adult. Leeks have a very sweet taste, yet not sweet at the same time. They are just yummy! Thanks for making me hungry again! lol. Only just finished with dinner.

I guess times were really tough for you back then. I was blessed to be living with a family that was able to provide me with good food. Sometimes, we have to do what we can to survive, and children understand this more than adults (doesn't make sense, but I think it is true). I hope that things are better for you now and that you can eat what you want.
