Were you born and raised in a certain religion. If so, are you still active in it or have you changed at some point in your life? I am curious if there are alot of other people who have stayed with the same religion and beliefs so far in their lives. I also wonder if they will raise their kids in that same religion.

I was born into a Christian family. My dad is a pastor. I too became a Christian as I got older and I still am today. It's not that I didn't ever question my faith, but I was forced to really examine why I believe what I believe, and I stand firm in my love for the Lord. I plan to raise any children I have in a Christian home, but ultimately they are the ones who will choose who or what to follow.

I am a Christian and I was not "born" into it. I have gone to church all my life and was taught about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To be a Christian, you must first admit you are a sinner and repent of your sins and then invite Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Lord and Savior. Then you have a new life. It is a relationship with our Heavenly Father. It is a choice. You cannot be a true Christian without knowing Jesus Christ personally. God bless.

Yes, I am born in a Hindu family in the caste of Brahmins and I have been given the usual ceremony of a Brahmin and I do wear a thread. That's how I was reared. But, it lasts only for a while for certain people. All of us are individual souls who are born on this earth to work out our past life karmas. So we as souls, choose our parents, and environment which would be best suitable to remove our karmic baggage. Some of us choose to be born as christians, hindus, muslims etc. But there are certain souls, who are advanced enough to move out of the common path and realise the universality of religion. I have for example chosen my spiritual path and now realised the universality of religion and am not bound by family traditions and orthodox beliefs anymore. So, if I have a child tomorrow, I won't enforce my religion upon him/her. I will educate them about the faith and let them choose their path later. We must give them independence to choose their path. All of us are individual souls born to choose our own paths. We must not control each other. That's what I believe in.

I am a born Hindu.Since Hinduism is a way of life and does not impose any practice like going to temple I grew up independently spiritually ofcourse with Hindu lienings. But under the guidance of Satyasaibaba I have learnt that all religions lead us to God if properly understood. A child surely needs some guidance before growing up spiritually.Once you are spiritually matured to understand that God is beyond religions then you no longer practise religlion. You will only practise to guide your mind to realise HIM. Therefore, no religion is superior or inferior.Religoin is only a road but not the destination.

I was born in a Muslim family. I am proud to be a Muslim by birth. most of us are not following our religions properly which are meant for betterness of our life as whole. We should try to follow the path of rightness. You cant find any religion which advocates theft, falsehood and teaches dishonesty etc.. Well, i m trying to be active one and try to follow my religious rules and teachings in every step of life.

I've been baptized a Catholic when I was only a few months old. My whole family is Catholic; we go to Church every Sunday, observe Catholic holidays especially Christmas and Easter, and other stuff like that. I am in my mid-20s now and I still observe the Catholic faith and traditions. I do want to raise my future kids as Catholics, although I haven't discussed it with my Protestant boyfriend yet. But he goes to Catholic Church with me sometimes.

Hmm. I'm not sure I can say I was born into a certain religion. Different members of my family had different religions, and my parents didn't really proclaim any religious beliefs by the time that I knew them. The religion that stuck with me was my great-grandmother's religion (Celtic Reconstructionist Paganism) and I started learning it when I was four years old. So I suppose since I was so young, you could say it was practically my entire life. I did learn about a lot of other beliefs, and I still enjoy learning about other beliefs, but I have a strong loyalty and love towards my Gods, so I would never change religions. My husband doesn't have the same religion I do. We plan on teaching our son many beliefs and letting him choose for himself. Honestly, I don't care what religion my son chooses as long as it makes him happy, and as long as he is tolerant of other beliefs.

Technically speaking I was born into the Mormon faith. However my family left when I was still a small baby and children are not baptized into the church until they are older so I was never an "official member". I attended Methodist Sunday schools but religion was never a major part of our lives while I was growing up. I did return to the Methodist church as an adult but am not active with a church right now. I have also explored the Mormon faith out of curiosity and found that I agree with many of it's principles, modern and fundamentalist. I am undecided about whether or not I will become active again in any church. My children will definitely be raised knowing about God and with basic Christian principles but I'm not sure yet to what extent. It will all depend on what I decide to do.

I was born and raised a Mormon, but definitely came to the point where I had to decide for myself whether or not it was true. I hope that anyone who was born into any religion would take the time to find out the true fundamentals of what they believe, then do what the Bible says and ask God whether or not it is true (James 1:5). I know that God answers our prayers, and will lead us to the truth.
