Have you done something that you think may have changed the world?

I'm curious how many people on MyLot have done something they think may have changed the world. I myself made two humans from scratch :-), adopted two children, adopted two dogs and adopted two cats. I think that at least one of those things could have changed the world. Oh and I went to my daugher's high school (by her request) and discussed how I managed to raise her and her brother on my own and still finish high school and college. My daughter wanted me to go there to talk because of the number of pregnant teens at her school that were giving up their babies. Since I had my son at 16 and her at 19 she thought I would be able to help. I don't know if I did or not but, I got a lot of thank you's afterward. :-)

I've made 6 humans from scratch :), talked to a countless number of people on here and in real life about everything and anything, had moments of wisdom and moments of stupidity that may have taught others important lessons, I have loved and I have lost, I have tried and I have failed, but most importantly I have lived and that alone will have made an impact on the world. If nothing else I have left a small footprint on the world that will never be erased.

Very well said!! BTW.....you got me beat on the making humans thing. I wish I could have more but, I guess God just wanted me to adopt instead because I stopped being able to make humans at 22. Good thing I started early!!

If a man's life got any importance in this world, I have done a thing to change this world. 1 year before I escaped a person who was bitten by a deadly snake. With the help of my friends I took that man to hospital and he go t his life back. All with the blessing of God

I guess I did once hehe… I asked my sister to adopt a dog who looked like going to die in a minute. My sister loves pets so I had the chance to have him in the house. Maybe if I think of those people I helped with their needs, I could say I also helped the world by then because maybe if it wasn’t for my little help I wonder where they would be.

Well, I am a small person. I have not done much to make the world better place. I feel that I must be sincere in my work first of all. I have tried my best to be honest and dedicated in all the work I have done.
When I took up a career as a Sales Engineer, I knwe that certain products were not really good for the buyers but still I sold them because it was a question of my own survival. Another thought behind this was that I knew that if I was not to sell that product to the buyer then someone else was just waiting to sell it.
But when I started working in Middle Management level, I had decided to do something good for my subordinates. So I used to emphasize maximum on their skills and updating their knowledge from time to time. Many a times I knew that some employee of my company was going leave the company soon but I had never stopped him from taking training. This would atleast allow him to gain better skills that would help him to live a better life.
