Ending of fight club......

hi people, i have seen fight club for quite sometimes now, still there is onething about the movie that i find a little hard to accept. What do you feel about the way the movie has been ended? If my opinion is considered, then jack should have died with tyler.... the intense feel of the movie could have been retained and also i feel it would be more appropriate!! what do you ppl think??
