What's your impression of Japan?

When I think of Japan I think of a very beautifyl country that's very rich and highly evolved. But at the same time I think that people there are a bit strange, and I'm not sure if they would welcome strangers - that's the main reason why I've never gone. Of course I'm probably wrong :-)

There is no answer that's right or wrong because it's your impression. Thanks for sharing it.
Japan means almost all about advanced domestice compliances to many but invasion and killings to most Asian people. That's why I wonder what that country look like in westerners'eyes.

i like the place now because of its zen principle and serenity. i also love Hokkaido and all the crabs there. oh! the Crabs there too. lol

2. Sony
3. Harojuko Girls (those girls that hangout with Gwen Stephani)
4. Couture fasion
5. Teriaky
6. Crowded streets
7. Small living spaces
8. Japanese lettering

Japan is such a brilliant place. My impression of the place is that the people are very disciplined and well mannered. The technology is needless to say one of the most advanced (if not the most advanced) in the world! Truly impressive!
