How can I get people to read my blog?

One of the things I do with a couple of my blogs is to include a link to them in emails that I send out. Of course, I am not sure what type of blog you are doing--I keep one about the craft of writing and another on Golden Dawn, so I don't mind if my friends and family read it. Another thing is to take part in online groups, like I belong to several Yahoo groups which focus on Golden Dawn, and on my longer replies (after all I spent years building my reputation), I include the link to the GD blog. And if you are focused on something other than just making money, like my writing and GD blogs, there are pretty of blog directionaries out there that you can submit the address of your blog to.

I recently listed two of my blogs on Blog Catalog, and it's bringing me some readers. Blog Catalog also has discussion groups, so it's a good place to network. Some people use Blogrush, and there are other places to list your site.
