if sachin ganguly is not there it will be a big problem in opening pair

if these three players are not there in the team then surely india will loose and if any team that can challenge then will be:
1.Gambhir
2.Karthik(wk)
3.Laxman
4.Yuvraj
5.Raina
6.Dhoni(c)
7.Pathan
8.Harbhajan
9.RP Singh
10.Sreesanth
11.Zaheer
i am including laxman on the verge of his consistency in tests and raina as he is at his best now.And you are right that karthick is better keeper than dhoni.

Dinesh Karthik will be the 12th man and he will replace Wasim Jaffar aur Suresh Raina, if either of them not perform well.
Further, If Dinesh Karthik is in the team, then I will like to see Dinesh Karthik playing as a wicket-keeper batsmen and Mahendra Singh Dhoni as a specialist batsmen because of two fold-reasons.
1st: it will decrease the work-load on Mahendra Singh Dhoni, as keeping is a very tough job
2nd: I believe, Danish Karthik is a far more better keeper than mahendra Singh Dhoni

The Indian Test Cricket Team is not that you have suggested is altimately failure, because the great players in the world like Scahin, Ganguly and the great MR. Dependent are not present in the Test Team then India will defentily loose the test series with not scoring more that 200 runs. These are the main memebers or missile in the opponinty teacm.
