I was wondering if there is the best way to treat or avoid depression?
In my case im not that always depress. But sometimes sadness just come into my mind and all of my feeling all go together and send messages that i am sad and depress until my Aunite told me that depression with crying is not good it is bad. Bad Luck as she said from then i avoid to be sad and cry.
i dont know if it is healthy but i think this is another reason why im strong now.

It all depends on whether you have clinical depression, depression for no reason, or you have some history that brings on the depression, like something in your past. Most can understand the first one, you need medication, but they somehow think the depression caused by past experiences or history does not exist, so they suggest helping others, praying, going on walks and enjoying nature, etc. This does help those who are depressed for no reason, but if there is a past reason the only way to cure it is for the problem to have never happened in the first place and for it to be resolved. Often that is only in God's hands and also to tell others about it and to keep praying for a solution, but to be specific.
So there are no easy answers, depending on what caused your depression. Pills can help the first, a change of attitude the second, but for the last, well we will go on living in a stage of low grade depression until we learn that we are not as bad as we thought we were.

medication is not the answer unless there is a distinct chemical inbalance in your brain. Taking tablets does not take your problems away, so ultimately you end with an addiction which is just another problem so effectively you end up with even more problems. The best way to cope with or cure depression is cognitive behavioural therapy or even psychotherapy or hypnotherapy. Try looking at patterns and techniques from hypnosis and NLP and see if you can find anything useful.

Depression is the last stage of your internal anxiety of some thing. Most people suffer from this mainly due to insecurity. First it is Fear. If not treated Fear leads to anxiety. If not treated Anxiety leads to depressoin.
Meditation defenitely give relief from depression, but not fully. You should take treatment also. Both treatment and Meditation will help you fight depression and that will make you lead happy life.

as you said, sad thoughts come into your mind. This is know as 'automatic negative thoughts' or 'cognitive thinking'. It is an automatic thought thrown at you by your subconscious. The best way to deal with this is to be aware that it is just an automatic thought and respond to it by telling yourself just that. Eventually, you will find these thoughts fade away on their own. When you find yourself getting down, try to get away from all the things that make you sad and think about the things in life that you really enjoy and try to do them. In psychology there is something called 'the fundamental law of attraction'. This states that whatever you hold in your mind, your body will move towards and this is very true. Hypnosis works on this principle. If you close your eyes and imagine your arm getting heavier and heavier for ten minutes, when you open your eyes you will find your arm has moved downwards. fascinating eh?
