I totally believe that how much sleep you get effects your appearance. I seem to look alot older when I have forfieted some of my sleep. Do you notice that you look older or drawn if you don't get enough sleep?

I am the type that only needs a few hours of sleep actually. I don't worry what I look like really either. I am 53 and have no problem with my looks. HAHAHA! I look old normally. Hee hee!!!. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I guess I'm like Grandpa Bob. Four hours is sleeping in for me. When I get less than three though, I start to look it.

That happens to me especially if I have so many deadlines in school and I have to stay up late or just don’t get to bed for the entire night. There was this one time when we have to present our thesis title and I have to finish some things in my document, I didn’t sleep and did the presentation with those under eye circles (hehe…) even if I dabbed it with lots of concealer. It can really look you rag how ever you want to look alive; you still have that aura of being sleepy. I completely hate it sometimes.

Oh yes, definitely. I do notice that. Since my daughter was born, I haven't had a full night sleep that has no interruptions. And those times that I slept with so much interruptions I find myself looking older and not very appealing. But if I get a chance to sleep even for six hours without interruptions, I would look and feel really good.

Thaaanks! Looking forward to it. Hubby's snoring when he's had a lot of work and too darn tired gets the best of my sleeping too. Yikes! Well, I am glad he is out of town for some new project he is on. Will be enjoying the peaceful night sans the concierto!LOL

Dear jillhill, You are right. I look older than my age. I used work more than 14 to 15 hours a day because without working hard I would not get good sleep. Of course the work I mention here is not a manual labour but brain work. By profession I am an accountant. I collect project jobs on accounts and the do the same in my house. Therefore I had work in order to complete the same in stipulated time. Previously when I was working manually, I had to write the whole books with hand. In those days I was given sufficient time but when I started working the accounts in computer, they also need the job completed in time. Due this problem I am looking older than my age. You are right.

Actually we have a queen sized bed. I think he's just a selfish sleeper. He also makes noise when he gets up for work everyday to make sure that i can't sleep after he leaves. He won't admit that it's intentional but I know damn well it is.

I do get dark circles under my eyes when I don't get enough sleep. Although I almost always have dark circles anyway, they get worse when I lose out on a lot of sleep. And that definitely makes me look older. As do blood shot eyes, which are a staple of a sleepless night for me.

i have noticed that too! when i didn't get enough sleep i'd look a little worn out and yeah, a bit old. ^__^;; but if i got enough sleep, i'd feel refreshed and new so i would look younger. ^__^ i think its because sleep is a major way to rest and refresh our energy. if we have less of it, then we would have less energy, less than we need.

Yeah, I believe in what you have say. A good amount of sleep really affects in having a good appearance in the morning. Yeah I feel haggard and old when I do not have enough sleep. And I feel fresh when I have one. but most of the time I cannot have it,because there are lots of things that I have to do and it seems time is not enough. But I am trying to have as much as possible.

Yes...we all try to do too much at times and it leads to sleep deprivation which is not good!!!

I think I stayed this young by being someone who sleeps a lot. However now I have a baby and since I haven't slept a full night since I conceived practically, I attribute that to the gray hairs I've found. Mostly though, between exaustion from lack of sleep and migraines, I just get a bruised look underneath my eyes.

Apparently it's true when you have less sleep. your eyes are drawn down, you look weak and pale. can't think very well and old as well. a good sleep makes one feel fresh, strong, high thinking ability, smart and young too. it's very necessary to have at least six hours of sleep every day. you're right there.

I definitly notice that I don't look as good if I haven't gotten a good nights sleep. I look pale and I get circles under my eyes. And your eyes don't have that same sparkle that they have if you have slept well. You just don't look refreshed.
