Has anybody did the medical Transcriptioncourse?

To be honest, I am currently toying with the idea to becoming one. I am contemplating taking a course and have already had three different schools get in touch with me with their course. I am considering one pretty heavily. I do know that when doing some research online, a lady spoke on making $53,000 yearly. Honestly, I project less, but if I get that much,all the better too since I don't make near that much at present. I believe I will be starting in a month if all goes well.

I saw your topic and realize it is old but wanted to comment on this anyway. Have you decided to take the medical transcription course yourself? I just went to careersteps and signed up and will be taking this course for the next few months they say you can complete it within a year we will see. I have been trying to find a speech to text program but haven't found one so far. Would like to hear others experiences with this.
