What do you think?
It's going to be like the drop off services in laundromats, but I'm gonna also remove their stains and stuff.
I'm the one person i know that can get any stain out of anything, even if it's set in well.
I'm thinking they drop it off, and by the time set the clothes are washed, stains removed, dried and folded for one low charge (not sure what that'll be yet as i still have to get on the phone with the laundromats, and get the quotes on business and licenses, but otherwise i think it'll be great.
Just a little thing i'll do from home to make extra money and such, plus, i love doing laundry, and it always comes out nice.
Would you take part in such a service?
Would you mind someone doing your laundry for you?
What would you consider paying to have your laundry done right considering the cost of laundromats?
would it save you time to pay someone to do your laundry for you while you do the running around you need to do?

I think that is a great idea. I think about doing that all the time but I have a hard enough time keeping up with my own laundry that I thought it may just be better to wait it out for me.
Good luck with that I think it is a great service and if you like doing it why not make money doing it!

I say good for you if you like doing laundry and can make a few dollars good idea. I guess the biggest concern would be to figure out what your cost will be at the end of the day and decide what the job would be worth. I would think you'd have to consider the power, water and what ever you have to pay extra for. All the very best let us know how you do. Good Luck.

I think it is great idea, i wanted to something similar when we were overseas, but the problem was I know the guys and I think they will be too ashamed to let me do it.I think there might be some people who will pay for service like that.I would pay for it too, if I can afford it, what I cannot right now, but If I would be busy and it would save my time, why not.How much i would pay for it, I have really no idea, since it could be different on coutry , person...I would try to make some good deal.

It's always nice to know someone who appreciates doing the laundry, as I have observed that many are still cursing these type of job!:)LoL
There are lots of laundry service here in our place, I believe that it's a good business and can easily be taken cared of by choosing the RIGHT people in assisting you!;)
Indeed, people nowadays are living a fast-paced life and others would hire someone to make their work easier, especially at home-related chores. I wish you goodluck on theis type of business you're planning to start, I don't see anything wrong in your choosing this one. As long as you know how to manage it, everything will work right for you!;)

It sounds like a service I would probably be interested in, but I'm very picky about my laundry and I think I would feel a little weird dropping off a bag of dirty clothes that contained underwear and bras and things of that sort. Would you ask people to sort the laundry before they dropped it off or would you do that as well? I guess you would probably have to sort it yourself since you would need to check for stains. What about people who have sensitive skin and need a certain kind of detergent or baby's clothes...would you cater to needs such as those? What about cloth diapers, would you wash those? I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to keep an assortment of different detergents and fabric softeners on hand so people could tell you their preferences. Some people only use a certain brand of detergent, some like softener, some don't, some use bleach, some don't, etc. How would you keep everybody's clothes seperate? What happens if you mix up people's clothes or damage an item? There would be a few kinks to work out, but other than that, yeah, I could see how people would be willing to pay for such a service. Especially busy moms. It doesn't seem like it would cost you much to start the business and, who knows, it might turn out to be very profitable for you. Would you invest in a commercial type washer and dryer to start out or would you just be using your own machine? I'd think you would need at least two or three sets of machines to start out with so you could be doing multiple loads at once. Most people aren't going to want to wait more than a few hours for their clothes to be done. I'd be very curious to know what you would charge for such a service and if you would charge a flat fee or if it would vary. Keep us posted on what you find out and what you decide to do. Good luck!

Oh, I forgot to mention, having someone fold the clothes neatly or hang them on hangers for me would make it well worth the price. I don't mind washing and drying the clothes, in fact I sort of enjoy it, but that's where it ends. I hate, with a passion, folding clothes for some reason. And I love the idea of you removing all the stains. With a 13-month-old at home, nearly everything that goes into our washer is stained, and I'm not big on pretreating, so sometimes they come out stained as well. Not to take advantage of your expertise, but, can you tell me how to get sweat stains out of my husbands undershirts???

Hi Hun!
I say good for you if you enjoy doing laundry and you can make a little extra cash. Just don't sell yourself short. You have to add the costs of the laundry soap, stain remover, cost to wash it, cost to dry it, dryer sheets, if they want fabric softener, and of course throw in an extra cost for your time. I don't love doing laundry, but I don't really mind it either so I'd prefer to do my own, BUT not everyone is like me lol. Their are some people out there I'm sure that would love someone else to do their laundry so you might be in luck!
Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.
