If you live in a very large town or city, can you give up your car/vehicle, use local transit, and walk to nearby locations for one month?
* To help the environment?
* To see first-hand how much you may or may not save in gas and vehicle maintenance in 1 month?
* To help your cardiovascular health by walking more?

Hi NewbieHelper! Yes, I can always give up on our car even for just a month. I usually use the public vehicle whenever I go to the market or go grocery. I don't use the car anymore and it has been awhile that I have been saving a lot because I am not buying gas regularly. Take care and have a nice day.

Thanks for the reply, faith210!
I'm glad you are saving money from finding alternatives to using your car!
I live in an area where I see MOSTLY medium to large vehicles on the road, carrying a single person - and I have to wonder why people in my area 'dont get it' about how much money they can save. I think that owning and driving a vehicle is very much a 'status' symbol and that people believe that they have 'earned the right' to drive and have the 'convenience' of driving a vehicle - even if it may damage the environment.
I hope this viewpoint changes soon.
